I think that in a manner, corps will eventually have to adapt and change (i.e.-pit amps, etc.) However, having some things constant allows a corps to develop an identity or sense of tradition. It's a very fine line that is constantly being towed in each direction from opposing corps and judges

Haha, agreed. I also agree that the visual will sink in before music to any non-corps savvy chap. Unless they're music majors or something, the Cavies would be your best bet there. I like the '02 show where they rotate within the big box near the closer (before the triangle move), and it's about 30 seconds.

I thought the last 30 seconds of the Cadets show this year was pretty beastly. Carried both the visual and musical package that drum corps is known for. But if that's not available, the Bluecoats clip would DEFINATELY work

It is where you spend about 1/4 of your summer in (sometimes longer), so the need to be comfy in the bus is very important. And yes, the need for "bus boxes" are very important. They contain all of your bus snacks (which are life savers for all-night bus rides), any small souvies you buy on tour (patches, programs, etc.), and anything else you want on the bus (books, music, movies). Other than that, you can have little white boards to hang on the windows, or anything else to entertain you and your seat partner.

Me and my seat partner, being the geniuses *caugh* we are, bought the following "off the beaten path" items during the summer -Walkie Talkies (we could keep in touch with our favorite vis. tech and annoy people sitting next to us as we talked to each other) -20 Ft. Slip n' Slide (for our off day in Georgia) -Dashboard Jesus (trust me, if you were on our bus, you'd need him too) -Coloring book (becaus we're still kids at heart) -Nerf Guns (because we hate each other...actually, the whole bus had 'em. You gotta protect yourself) Of course, thanks to the low, low prices of Wally World, we got these for a total of around $70 (split two ways=around $35)

Love who they got for sponsors too lol Who knows, they could give INT a run for their money. Even though INT has gone without losing for quite some time, I've gotta good feeling about these new guys. I hear their program next year will consist of "Ice Ice Baby", "Cold as Ice", and "Hot Hot Hot".

Whenever we did them this year, after we were done with the sprint portion, we'd sprint over to our instruments and just sustain a low Bb for however long they wanted us to. Breathing blocks are pretty intense and after doing one, lungs feel like they're on fire... but they work
