Hey guys .... One day I hope to be able to purchase a luxury suite at Lucas Oil Stadium for the World Championships and fill it with an entire harem of drum corps virgins. They will feed me grapes, pour me wine into a golden goblet, and fan me with copies of the DCI Magazine as I lounge on an oversized beanbag chair and explain the happenings on the field to them in great detail, effectively deflowering them of their drum corps virginity and assimilating them into the culture to go forth and speak the good word of all things drum corps.

I'm sure (and hope) things will be great for them, but come on, are the Blue Devils and any others who are putting previews of their programs all over the place going to be any worse for it? What do you think the Cavaliers think there is to be gained by being so secretive?

Hey guys … I’ve been doing some studying up on all this samurai stuff to try to get into the Cavaliers’ program this year. The part of a samurai’s life that I’ve been most interested in is seppuku—ritual suicide by disembowelment. I’ll be interested to see what Cavaliers program maharishi Scott Kotter dreams up to deal with this facet of the samurai’s life. I don’t see how they could do a program about samurai without touching on it. Here’s a couple gems on the topic you should check out, verrrrry interesting stuff. I think I might write to DCI and see if they can come up with a High Colonic sponsor ... maybe they can send coupons with all ticket orders or have a special trailer setup in the marketplace at big events. Maybe park it right next to the concession stands!!!

Wichita might not be too bad, about 90+ miles, but a pretty sweet lineup there with Cadets, the Troop, Academy, Xmen and the Glassmen. The Cadets will be on fire I'm sure, but wouldn't be pretty sweet to see a corps like the Academy shake it up and go toe to toe with them? From what little i know about the DCI scheduling, it seems like a lot of times if there isn't a show somewhere in a given year, it's more of a "connect-the-dots" issue getting corps from one show to the next in a logical path. Might have been a little easier to get the Enid show together when all the corps were heading west to Pasadena. Awesome that you're trying to get somewhere to see a show. I know I'm jonesin' for the season to start!!!

Hey guys ... I'm thinking I might need to lead us all through some deep soulful and bodily cleansing sessions. Thinking a little yoga (I just bought some SWEEEEEEEET lime green yoga pants) coupled with additional deep breathing excercises ... top it off with a high fiber diet and if we really want to turn the tides, maybe a few colonic irrigation sessions ... I'm thinking this might be a good way to help everyone through this bad karma and save drum corps for us all!!!

What town? It seems like with all the events DCI usually has if one is not where it usually is from year to year, there is something else somewhat close. I use this thing on the DCI website a lot when the schedule comes out every year to see what's doable for me: Google Maps Show Finder This summer fo sure is looking pretty sweet, hope you can make it out somewhere live!!! If not maybe there will be a movie theater close to you to check out the Quarterfinals movie live broadcast if DCI is doing that again this year. Wouldn't this be their 5th year of doing that movie theater thing?
