I agree about the music and the voice overs. If its boring, I doze off, and this year is no exception with the boring music. I don't pay for naps, I pay for a show. And, if I hear another voice over, I might leave the venue ... or at least think it.

I'm not sure how I feel about a guard doing West Side in this day and age ... its been done, and to death at that.

It kind of looks like three of the four are actually spinning perfectly. the one in the back right is the only one that's a little off, but still good!

funny thing. where i'm from, and where i taught, we did everything from writing drill, designing flags, sewing them, same for costumes, painted our tarp, wrote our choreography ... we did everything. and we got paid nothing. we weren't spectacular, but the kids didn't have to pay for anything. it was only when i moved, i realized people out sourced for each of those things, and pay for them! no wonder people can make money doing guard for a living out here -- and its no wonder people have no money. it was pretty much my life for ten years -- helping at fundraisers, staying all night to finish sewing things -- i'm out of that for the time being, but if people learned how to do more, maybe they'd pay for less.

well, with disneyworld right there, i just figure the arts are in abundance in florida! idk where everything is in respect to disneyworld, but it seems to make some sense, right?

hrm. interesting. maybe we need a redo on the system and who's in it. heck, if someone's telling me what to do, sign me up for judging! i'd just watch the sw/iw shows for free and relax.

So you're saying the problem isn't why they were put in first in finals for ensemble, but rather why they were put in eighth in prelims. even if you invert the question, my question of, 'how can two judges have such drastic interpretations of something,' remains.

i absolutely LOVE aimachi, but how exactly do you go from 8th in ensemble in prelims, to first in finals. i was just looking at the recap, and saw someone else post something briefly about that, and find that a little odd. not so much odd, as incredible.

or we could have someone all new in the top that hasn't been there before. i vote for ...
