  1. I don't think the corps intends to have supporters use the credit card IN PLACE of donations and contributions. I think that this would be an additional funding source for the corps on top of any contributions made to the corps. Most people use credit cards a lot anyways, so why not use one that gives the Scouts some free money? Even if the amount of money the corps makes off the credit card isn't huge, it's still some revenue that they did not previously have.
  2. For those of you trying to get through to NIU friends and family, keep trying. Understandably, the phone system has been completely swamped this evening and it has been difficult to get through to anyone. I find myself lucky that I did not have class today, but my thoughts and prayers go out to all those who witnessed it and especially to those families and friends of loved ones who lost their lives or were injured. It's a sad day. These are the types of things that always happen "someplace else," never at home. Still weird to see my school on the front page of almost every major news website.
  3. In one summer, I had the following free days. - Kalamazoo (bowling and cheap, cold refreshment) - Madison, WI - Battle of Little Big Horn Site - Seattle - San Francisco - New Orleans - San Antonio - New York City That was an awesome tour. Montreal free days aren't bad, either. :-)
  4. Wow, dude.... That was quite a jerk-ish thing to say. You're not making the brotherhood look too good when you do that. I know you're trying to hype up the Scouts and all, but no need to be a jerk towards other corps.

  8. If you use speedy entry, enter a note (I normally use a 16th) and then press "g" twice. This will turn the note into a grace note.

  10. Well, having marched Madison the past two years, I was as hesitant to embrace the "new regime" as anyone. But, I have to say that things are looking great. AND, the new unis look great on the field. The pictures do them absolutely NO justice. And yes, the pants are tight... But I remember them always WANTING the pants to be tight. I'll never forget the shock that I experienced while being fitted for a uni and complaining that the pants were too tight in the butt and crotch, the uni mom just looked up at me and said "that's the way we wear 'em here" and winked at me. haha Anywho, just saying, try not to pass judgement toooo harshly before you can see this show in person. I think it is great, and has potential to really rock. :-) That's all... Allan
