This poll may perhaps be a little negative in it's very nature. It also might be opening up a "can of worms" for some that MAY NOT want to be reminded of reasons or wish those reasons to remain buried or forgotten. I will apologize to those that feel that way as it really is not my intention of this poll. I am really trying to get at the very essence of what is the actual drum corps success formula. I don't know of any corps that folded when it was well funded, had good instructors and lots of student interest. But am I wrong? I do know of several that folded when they had problems in any one or more of the above top 3.
What are your thoughts?
When I marched I was in the hornline, but the battery was also on the bus and I absolutely hated all that stick "hacking" on the pads. It drove me absolutely insane all tour!
You fail to realize that certain corps may like to maintain certain corps colors and traditions and perhaps that is WHY they are not white and NOT a cop-out.
I'm not sure how you can add a value argument here. How does guts enter into this. I don't get it. For myself...I marched with black pants with a red stripe down the side..WHITE shoes with black trim on the heel and welt. Talk about exposure for your feet. It doesn't get much more exposed than that I'm afraid.
I was pleasantly surprised by Boston's spike in percussion score which has plagued them all season. KUDOS to the percussion staff and the line for that matter!
