It looks as if the storm on this thread has calmed down, as the one in Brazil, IN has. Thanks to all of you who expressed concern and encouragement, donated money, shut down untimely humor, etc. We are fortunate to have so many fans and friends in the general Drum Corps community. There are 22 Corps in the Indy area today and we are hopeful that the other groups did not experience any severe damage like we have.
As Dave so eloquently put it, the Blue Star family will assure that "The Factory" will be up and running smoothly by Thursday night.
I, for one, am grateful that my son's drum corps was responsible enough to get him and 149 other performers and staff into shelter before something much worse than prop damage occurred. Thank you to the Blue Star staff for that!
If you call yourselves a Blue Star Fan or want to, please consider donating $25 for a VIP lanyard and meeting us at the Omni Hotel for some fun, food and merriment! We think we have a lot to celebrate and would love for you to join us this week! With the lanyard you get a welcome reception on Thursday afternoon with appetizers, a Pasta, Salad and Pizza Buffet luncheon on Friday. Blue Star Drink Specials (some are even BLUE) and 15% off your food at any Omni restuarant for the entire weekend! We will even have drawings and prizes! More info and times are here: http://bluestars.org/ You can pick up a lanyard at the Omni or at our Souvie Stand in the stadium. Hope to see you there!
