  1. RIP SEAN...I HAVE KNOWN OF HIM SINCE I STARTED IN CORPS.. SEAN WAS ALWAYS A GENUINE AND FUNNY PERSON. YOU HAVE MADE AN IMPRESSION ON SOO MANY PEOPLE FROM YOUR SKYLINERS TO ABOUT EVERY OTHER CORPS OUT THERE. YOU WILL BE MISSED!
  2. nice website..thats a pretty cool idea to get you know ure kilties.
  3. im soo surprised these people that dont have a clue didnt mention that maybe DCA finals could be moved back till monday..LOL that wouldnt mess up about oh a couple of thousands peoples travels..hehe
  4. i love how the people that are #####ing about the rain and the whole weekend ISN'T the people who actually MARCHED! if you dont want to be there in the rain or muck STAY HOME!..easy as that. and im sure the person that said they waited out tornados and had a standstill i am guessing that it wasn't CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND! please people get real with your comments...we all dealt with the weather and made it work...enough said.
  5. 1st point...you cant put DCA's all inone day anymore with the alumni show going on.. unless you start at 3am. 2nd point...you must be a bandparent since by you saying have a standstill is really stupid and idiotic. as a marching member you have to deal with whatever situation is given to you as long as there isn't lightning. yes it was cold and misserable, but thats what brings you closer as a corps when there is situations you can't control. DCA did the best job they could for what they were faced with. they made it the best expierience for all the corps as best that they could.
  6. yea JIM i marched the last 2 years the corps was around before it went to just the little B corps.
  7. No Kay its... "THANK YOU VERY MUCH " with a slight Memphis twang And another with an English accent watered down after 42 years living in Canada (what would that be - Engadian? Canglish?) Whatever - I was watching each of your bass drummers saying "I wanna be that guy!!!!" -------------------- Basses are the heartbeat of the corps. Guns and Rose 05 - love you guys! 68 - 72 RCSCC Ajax - snare 76 Optimist Knights - snare (folded May) 77 - 80 temporary insanity 80 - 82 Niagara Regionaires - snare 83 - 87 Conqueror II - staff 87 - 01 busy being Dad! 02 - 03 Royalaires Alumni - snare 02 - 05 Dutch Boy - staff 06 - ?? Royalaires Alumni - staff & 3rd bass SCV Borg Queen and Older Geezer ~ SCV Appreciation Society 1974 - forever from myself and the rest of the cabs bassline that means soo much to us. what an emotional weekend it was...the crowd was amazing..our alumni is awesome!!! scores mean nothing when the emotion that you have is euphoric.
  8. Hawthorne always comes out looking very impressive at this stadium, a line of white shirts extending from the backfield all the way out into the parking lot. I was sitting 4 or 5 rows back a little outside the 40 so some individual horn problems were noticed and the drum line didn't seem to cut. I don't know if it was where I was sitting, the Dynastys, or what. Having said that... HOLY $%*& did those guys play... and move. By the far the most impressive percussion section of the night. I have a feeling that is what is keeping the corps so close to Bush. Horn line was great and the crowd really ate it up. Visually the only thing that made me "wow" was the "rumps" section, but then again I was in the 5th row. Interval problems were an issue this night... I don't understand why no one has corrected these problems, but it could have just been at this show, I don't know. I had them right behind Bush. For the sheer purposes of getting the hair on the back of your neck to stand and for getting your blood pumping, these guys are the ones to do it. thanks for the review..i love going to west haven its always a great show and crowd to perform in front of. i cant wait to get up to rochester and having an amazing weekend!
  9. WOW...cabs n kilties in the same hotel, thats just nuts..thats like 130 yrs of existance plus a ton of drunkeness over that time...what a party it will be! I CANT WAIT!
  10. i understand what you are saying ,but as i recall when i was in sun back in the day the staff used to do the same thing...what might be different nowadays is that we are up-front and personal with the crowd instead of backfield. each corps/ instructors have there own way of preporation right before the 1st note of the show. off topic: it was good to run into you before the show.
  11. good luck to rage this year and keep the talent on long island growing! staff.. dont be easy on the kids push them hard...LOL
