  1. You are rude; if you don't like them get off DCP and stay on Twitter
  2. keep the naive band kid fangirling and get rid of theyremovingit - I guess you were never young and naive; this is a good time to listen to that generation about drum corps.
  3. I just saw that Ken Turner was judging - ouch for Cadets
  4. Does anyone remember when the top two corps went through a season like this year; number one (BD) never finished lower than first and number two (Cadets) never finished lower than second?
  5. I think top 25 but only the top 17 are shown in the theater - but not sure.
  6. It seemed to me that beginning without plumes was a bit of a negative and adding the pumes may have just got that negative back - not net gain. May a plume exchange with a different color or maybe just leave the plume idea alone and do something else. Boy do I hit extra keys when I type!
  7. It's niice to see Pioneer with a full drum line. I can remember when their battery was only snares and bass; no tenors.
  8. Do percussion caption heads and front ensemble writers listen to what they write - I have been listening to the crashes and many times during some very nice brass passages there will be this God awful cymbal crash on a cymbal that sounds like a garbage can cover.
  9. It's a hole - snares change positions in the drill many times so at times the missing snare is on the end and there is no hole; when he/she is one in from the end, there is a hole.
  10. I would love to be a fly on the wall when their team sits down to decide their next year's show. That has to be a few very interesting meetings.
  11. Every time they win, they set a new record - 15 going on.........
  12. Well, two of the obvious reasons for their success is BDB abd BDC - quit the farm system.
  13. Kennedy wrote many of Boston's shows (lots of original scores). I know originally he was a drummer that used to do a lot of studio work taping jingles.
  14. I re-read my post - I referred to them as two competent judges - I don't know them to be anything but that.
  15. Thank you - I still am wondering if there is a committee or person that reviews judges scoring. Jay Kennedy has been around a long time - don't know Kemp; maybe Kemp's had the less accurate score?;
  16. You are absolutely wrong. I have never called foul - I asked a question. If you don't know the answer keep your mistaken facts out of it!
  17. Two GE Judges; 1 has Cadets in 2nd with an 18.0; the other has the Cadets in 5th with an 18.4. Almost every organization that depends on someone's talents to adjudicate something, there is a system to review their choices (balls and strikes/penalties/fouls/etc). Does DCI do this with their judges because it doesn't seem this would be possible between two competent judges?
  18. who cares what you are going to do - just go do it and spare us.
  19. How do you/we know they are out there the full 11 minutes?
  20. Wesleyrp, Bluecoats should hire you for their positive attitude manager - even if they lose to the Cadets, you have them inching closer and closer to a victory over them next time out.
