MBI in the recent years. I wasn't a huge fan of the sequined jackets and hats they wore in the late 90's early 00's. I have always liked Statesmen's uniforms over the years and almost wore one for a season! Brigadiers are nice as well. Not too many corps in DCA have uniforms that stand out to me.

If you want to put it that way, then sure. Or how about I speak the truth, or I gave a hard dose of reality? Kilties didn't make finals again because they didn't have the product or the performance to do so. How does that qualify me as a d-bag? Same goes with Renegades. Corpsvets scored below them because of a penalty, without that penalty they were ahead easily. I knew they would make the leap. Renegades deserved 10th place. I'm sorry the truth might hurt some of the whiny pretentious people here, but that sir is NOT my problem.

It happens more often than you think. In 2002, my line went from 6th field, 5th ensemble, 5th overall in prelims to 7th field, 11th ensemble, 9th overall in one night! But we all know why that happened TWICE that summer with a certain percussion panel in place.

Since the DCA rule book is pretty much made up by the directors of the member corps, I just don't see how this one got passed. Considering the rule change in A Class, this one for Open Class makes no sense.

Design a show, perform it to the max...there's your break!

I really don't think what place the corps went on is part of the argument, at all. I don't think they would be complaining, because the right corps would have been on last. These first few posters aren't the first I have heard of MBI's prelims performance and how it should have been 1st.

Its only a special thing this year because 1 corps was going to sit out and DCA didn't want to deal with having one corps sit out. It really isn't any different than 3 to 4, or even 5 corps sitting out. I too was in a corps that didn't make finals from '95-'97, but even when I was 14 at DCA's '97, I didn't feel so great about going out there in exhibition.

I think its safe to say we'll see Corpsvets make the leap over Renegades tomorrow night.

I too wonder about that. I thought staff could NOT enter the field once the corps is ready to go.
