Color guard '83-85 in lousy high school band. Marching band, winter guard, drum line, drum corps mom since '04. I love music, whether instrumental or vocal. Give me an opera or marching band/d&b corps or ballet over any pop or rock.

  1. Hi MAGomulinski,

Would you be willing to forward/Like the info at the linked site to any friends, directors, or instructors involved in color guard or percussion? It can help them raise good money to compete!

    Thanks much! - Derek

  2. You only state that you are in SC, not where. This year there is Night Beat in Rock Hill on the 31st and First Beat in Summerville on Aug 1. Either of those are within 1.5 hours drives from most of the state. Have you asked any of your high school band friends or director about hitching a ride with them? A lot of the serious bands in the state have a convoy heading to Night Beat.

  3. After happy Winter Dreams, Herbert went on a Conquest for Gold. Showing much Gratitude, it was decided that Everything Old Is New Again. This Northwestern Purple Regiment Guard Mom is very proud of this '08 graduate. He is always a total joy to watch perform.
  4. Considering he threw and caught 10's last summer, that is a LOT of green grass.
  5. YEAH!!!!! Shirt just showed up in the mail. Katie is going to be tickled. Thanks, Eric. BTW one of my twins made percussion day before yesterday. That makes 4 out of 5 kids in band now. He is already likes a certain green corps that his older brother loves.
  6. Eric, As I posted on Facebook, I submitted my younger daughter's name for a shirt. Heck, I'll save you the shipping and come pick it up! Or you could stop by during a Purple Regiment practice and give it to her. She would be thrilled to death. She adores the Crown pit plus Ashley has been an inspiration for her.
  7. Herbert is a local boy. Graduated from high school with my daughter in 2008. Marched with Northwestern HS Purple Regiment all four years, despite being gone for the summer his soph-senior years while on tour with Crown. He has been on a winterguard team and coached every season too. Very giving, sweet guy, whose personality is as big as he is. Due to where his birthday is, he gets an extra year with DCI. They are very lucky.
  8. They named him Stanley. The People's Front Ensemble Facebook page has quite a bit about this summer's snake.
