  5. Thank you for starting this thread. Good to know there are other Moms on here. There's so much tearing down of other corps - it's nice to just be proud of all our kids. I have three "mom" moments: The first is when I catch a glimpse of her marching in the with her corps. She looks so beautiful, proud and serious in her uniform. I think she is developing a swagger (:-o) I think back to all the practicing, music lessons and concerts and performances (and money). It's all worth it to see her set goals, work hard and achieve those goals. My second is a moment of the show when the entire horn-line is marching in her direction blowing their hearts out and they are all focused on MY daughter. Relying HER for direction. How did this happen? They get louder and louder. And even louder still, waiting for her to release them. Silence, then cheers. I get chills. My third mom moment isn't drum corp, but related - marching band. She is her college's drum major too - same pride when I see her marching out and leads them in warmup on the field. Releases them and walks casually to climb the podium. She waits. We wait. They announce her name and ask if her band is ready. She turns, give her salute, removes her shako and gives the crowd a dazzling smile that fills the stadium and my heart as her long blond ponytail tumbles down her back. There's always a gasp and a murmur as people around me say - "It's a girl!" #### straight. That's my girl! Proud Mom
