  1. There is also the factor of all new judges (except music analysis) and different viewpoints.
  2. Along with Boxer. You're much closer to the action there :)
  3. I hope that was unintentional but that statement seriously undermines the Bluecoats and their show and members.
  4. Congrats Bloo. Keep giving everyone the business. Give Northeast Ohio it's long awaited championship.
  5. I agree they left a lot on the table and there is no way they won't pick it up. I can't wait to see this beast in August.
  6. Here we go. I wrote that during the cadets show and it was my rapid assessment.
  7. Crown brought us to hell and back. The theater didn't do this show any justice. By far the biggest reaction of the night from beginning to end. Sitting here during the cadets the crowd even seems very quiet comparatively. I definitely think crown earned a much narrower gap tonight.
  8. Nice to see such a marked improvement from Rhythm in Blue (Bluecoats Alumni corps) in just a year since their formation. What fun!
  9. I've always been under the impression a good rule is warm-up begins around 2 hours before a corps performs. First corps warm-up starts around 5:15. Can anyone confirm?
  10. I will be at the show tonight and I am very excited to see this shows live to get the full effect, especially for the Bluecoats. Personally, I am hoping Bluecoats and Crown close the gap with the Cadets by a lot.
  11. Correct, although Cesario claims one judge is more music based and the other is more visual based.
  12. While looking at the recap I noticed crown scored 4th in percussion achievement and 6th in content. This is definitely flipped to how I would like to see it. I'm not a percussion guy and it kills me to see it be their Achilles heel....every.....flipping.....year.
  13. This made me even more excited to see what the closer will be on finals night. What an amazing show.
  14. To say the least! Everything is pulling together perfectly for them.
  15. I feel like fans periscoping a live show isn't helping the fan network/DCI live ordeal and legal issues.
  16. Just listened to the full MP3 of the show. Carolina Crown 2015, thank you. This is musically my favorite show ever fielded. You stayed true to the source material and arranged it in ways that made my heart jump out of my chest. The hornline is on fire and could rival the quality of the 2013 line. The bold move to make the percussion such a featured aspect of the show paid off and they sound incredible. Most of all, thank you for presenting more than just "Ode to Joy" and giving us "Symphony No. 9" instead. I cannot wait to see how the closer grows and develops but right now this is no contest that it is the most exciting closer I've ever heard. Thank you. I cannot wait to see this show live in Akron.
  17. Much better explanation when you leave out the snark. That being said, I understand the frustration that you presented. I'm sure that it will be brought to DCI's attention and resolved. The silver lining that I pointed out is at least the content still exists in some fashion.
  18. I was looking through their old articles and there were still articles from the past few years up. Everything I've needed to see has still been on the site.
  19. This connects with the leaked video a while back. They were playing the opening movement of Beethoven's 9th Symphony and now this clip is a section of the final movement right before the dramatic "Ode to Joy" statement. I'm overflowing with anticipation. Is it June yet?
  20. I also feel this is not a piece that would just be played for the heck of it. It may be potential show music but it's still something that's more likely to be show music than not.
