If Madison continues to clean and make the additions and changes for greater visual effect, I don't think they have to worry about Cavies.

With Madison having their show tonight in Madison we know they'll bring down the house in the Mad City!!! Any predictions or thoughts on scores, placements, or spreads? I think everyone's score will go up tonight.

Why not? Anything is possible. Madison has not been this high in recent years. And Boston has not been this low. So it is possible that we could see it.

I agree with you it is a marathon. But, for the past three years the Scouts have been planning a come back with that old Star of Indiana Staff to compete for championships again within a 4 to 5 year window. It's not a fluke this year where they are. And, they're only going to get better and better every year. I wish the Cavaliers well. But, people need to understand they don't have the staff that they had in their years of winning championships. Phantom you never know about them. I knew SCV would be good this year. BK lost Mark Sylvester so their visual design will not be as strong as it would have been. I love the grey and black uniforms that Boston wears but it is killing them visually. Plus their music is wonderful but like blue coats, you can take it or leave it at times in their show. So, it is VERY conceivable that an old dci standard, the (Scouts) are back competing on a level that they should be FINALLY!

We are looking at a top 6 in this group of corps. Madison is probably your 6th place corps this year.

Do you guys think that the judges are giving the scouts some love this year because of their 75th anniversary, or do they really believe the scouts have actually turned the corner and have started to finally put out the type of both visually and musical program that they like to see?

I can't remember where I heard this. Don't even quote me on it for sure. But, if I remember correctly in 2010 when the old Star of Indiana staff came on board, there was the idea of a 5 year progressive plan to get the Scouts back to competing for titles. This is year 3, so I would say they are on a pretty good track!

You are probably exactly on with that philosophy!

From what I see the visual program is much stronger than in 2011. And, the percussion and horn books are much stronger this year. I think they are right on schedule with their long term plans to get better competitively each year. Having said that, I think top 7 or 6 is a very realistic achievement for this year!

Wow, I wasn't aware they did that! Well, look at how the cavaliers jumped last night as well. I didn't see the show but was informed that they had major phasing problems and music problems last night as well. But, there again they jumped past Spirit.
