  1. Well, YouTube states that if you challenge a copyright takedown, they have to sue to get the video removed. I suppose it's true that they don't have to give you that warning, but chances, like you said, are very low. Too expensive to be feasible in most cases.
  2. I've dealt with 4 copyright strikes, getting each of them rescinded by offering the related corps money. It's very difficult to tell which corps have what policies. Most corps don't care, but Vanguard cares about enforcing the license agreement they have with the publishers. Blue Devils is very controlling of videos on YouTube. They take down simple lot videos of the drumline if they want, which is why I don't offer any Blue Devils videos anymore. Also, you cannot get sued for what you post on YouTube. The only way you can is if you challenge a copyright claim, which they would then need to sue to get it removed again. Content ID doesn't count as a strike if I'm correct. Also, I donate to the related corps money that I earn from the ads. I try to strike a good balance, and my videos wouldn't exist without them. I hope they keep in mind that the videos wouldn't exist without me, either. I link to the dci ticket page in every video.
  3. Here's a video of Carolina Crown's hornline. It gives you pretty good insight on how they rehearse their music.
  4. Here's my favorite two videos I've uploaded this season thus far:
  5. There have been loud crowds with it, and there haven't. But yes, it's right before Mars, after that drumline backfield triplet roll. If I were there, I'd be screaming it as loud as I can.
  6. Whoops, don't know why I put Nick Arce, it's been a long trip. Also, I will add that he is part of the cascades when I'm back at the hotel. Thanks!
  7. Here's a video of DCI's fastest drummer this year. First time he gets very close to the record, and second time he breaks it. I can't figure out how to embed it, sorry! I wrapped it in the [ media] tag, but it's not showing up. Anyone?
  8. I'm definitely planning on getting all three of those corps, both the hornlines and drumlines. Thanks for the suggestion. Full shows are risky business to post on YouTube. Most corps are okay with it, but I've had some videos taken down and a copyright strike added to my account, and it took some haggling to get that rescinded. Pretty much, if there's already quite a few full corps performances on YouTube of that corps, that means I feel it's safe. Is that part of the hornline warmup? I may have gotten it the other day, but hotel internet is pretty iffy, so it's a slow going process to get them uploaded until I get home. Is yellow part of the hornline, and the half time push part of the show? Sorry, I don't know all of the names. Oh, that bug has gotten me countless times, no worries.
  9. I'll definitely try! I'll be seeing them in Dallas on Tuesday.
  10. I didn't record much of the worlds fastest drumming at all, but after all of the other performances were done, I figured it couldn't hurt. He was the very last one to go on, and I got both of his attempts on video, as well as a quick interview afterwards! It will be on my channel later tonight, or early tomorrow morning. I also got several other performances. But there was no way I could get all of them, because there were probably about 4 or 5 going on all at the same time.
  11. Atlanta is one of the farthest warmup sites from the stadiums on tour unfortunately. Phantom's hornline plays canon typically towards the end of their warmup routine, so I would recommend you be out there at the warm up site at minimum 3 performances before phantom goes on. Including the walk, I would say about 4 performances before is when you would probably need to leave for the warmup site. This probably would mean its not worth it, but to each his own. Also, it's hard to judge exactly when the times will fall, so I could be wrong. Trying to play it on the safe side for you. I would instead recommend you drive up to the murfreesboro show the night before. It's a fairly long drive, but not too bad. You can watch all the corps warm up for free as well! It's worth it. I see at least 17 shows a year, and only 3 of them are watching the actual shows. I love it, and I agree that it's an experience that people should have at least once.
  12. Blue Devils took vocal ensemble, as well as a flurry of other individual awards. Keelan Tobia was the snare champion again, him and Nick Arce (tenor player) won the percussion ensemble, spirit won cymbals, and a member from Cascades won the fastest drummer with 924 beats in one minute. I don't remember all of the scores and placements, but I got a ton of video from today's event!
  13. Hi everyone, I run a YouTube channel called "Drum Corps Tube". I routinely look through here to see what people like, and to see what people would want to see on my YouTube channel. While its a great resource, it would be a lot easier for me, and a lot more efficient for all of you if I just asked for requests! So any suggestions (primarily of lot videos), feel free to post in this topic, or message me on here. I have those messages forwarded to my email, so I'll hear you! Thanks for your time.
