  1. That's right! Just five smackers for 5 DCA finalists and 3 great exhibition corps. As a Bridgeport native, I unofficially officially invite you to my fair city!
  2. Only 11 & 1/2 hours now! If you're not there yet, though, there's still plenty of time to get to the shore.
  3. Saturday, June 15: Partly cloudy, high of 73. Winds less than 5 mph. Sunday, June 16: Partly cloudy, high of 77. Winds frm SSW @ 5 to 10 mph. Got my hotel res, loaded up the EZ-Pass already - See YOU there :smile:/> ?
  4. Hurricanes '84 through '89 myself then Cabs '90 and '91 (WE WAS ROBBED ;-) !). Still working souvies, gate at their shows, honor guard last couple years, whatever I can, for Cabs. Always loved Sun, can't wait to see them back and strong in Open!

  5. Holy cow! That's AWESOME :thumbup:/> So it looks like we'll be welcoming Sun back to Open Class
  6. Did you REALLY mean 28 guard for Sun, or was that a typo???
  7. Well, if we're extending our recommendations to Cape May, maybe I'll see some DCP folks at the Rusty Nail! Arctic cold Yuengling drafts, chairs in the sand, and usually some live beach music
  8. Guess I AM old now. I marched with two of these guys. Congratulations to Vic & Ray! Both of you have contributed so much to the activity, and, in different ways, continue to. I'll raise a glass to ya both tonight!
  9. As long as C2 does the flag toss to the DM, I'll be happy :-)
  10. That's what everybody always told me about them!
  11. "Most Outstanding Unit In The Line of March" Caballeros "Best Brass Band" Windsor Regiment (Guess you guys fooled 'em with the brass-finish horns :tongue:/>/>/> ) "Best Drum & Bugle Corps" 7th Regiment "Best Drum & Bugle Flag Corps" The Muchachos Congratulations to all the winners, and to EVERYBODY who put up with the cold and, I hear, wind! On to Wildwood now! (There were a bunch of HS band and string band a/k/a mummers awards also - The Springfield Republican has an article in its Holyoke section with all the winners).
  12. For those who'd like to see for themselves, the parade's available live on wgby.org. Starts at 11:30 EDT, I believe.
  13. Right?! I've thought for years the sabres need to stay indoors. THERE, they're effective. On a football field? Meh.
  14. Heck, yeah. Still my favorite WSS ever, from anybody. How could you not love their "Officer Krupke"? And that ending!
  15. Let's be a little careful here. Please consider that nobody's going to get rich selling off buses that are decades old. And let's not assume they even intend to not need as many instruments as an exhibition group or whatever they're planning as they do now. Not too many buyers for G bugles, anyway. And I second what's been said here already - Go "out" with a bang, Empire!
  16. Man, I wish I could make this camp to see for myself how geat things are going! If YOU want to see firsthand how Cabs are picking up where they left off AND THEN SOME, make your plans - Get in touch with Mike!!!!!!
  17. Now, if they could only bring Ken Bell back to play the "Bring him home" mello solo :worthy:/>/> . Of course, he'd have a small problem these days not exceeding their age cap, I guess :tongue:/>/> .
  18. You're right, Buff! That show concept sounds amazing :w00t:/> ! And it sounds like August's Cabs' momentum is carrying right into '13! I can't wait for June :smile:/> . Def looks like another audience fave from the red team next summer!
  19. Can't wait to see my Cabs family this weekend :smile:/ . Have YOU signed up yet?!?!?!
