My grandfather's funeral had a guy holding an electronic trumpet shaped thing that played Taps. I was not impressed.

Yes it is my son's girlfriend that is in the hospital. Spinal surgery this morning. She's doing well. Long recovery ahead, but the doctors are very optimistic that she'll be fine.

Didn't make it to the parade with Bush, due to my son and his girlfriend being in an accident on the way to yesterday's WGI show in PA, but I hope everyone had a great time at the parade.

Maybe if the videos had to have a certified judge from any area competing organization(TOB/TIA, USBANDS, Cavalcade, DCA, DCI, WGA, MAPS, etc)present at taping, by an official videographer, to act as an official verifying the source, video sessions could be scheduled throughout the country and then submitted for competition.

Not all WGI groups have the luxury of practice during the week. Some are more on a DCA-like practice schedule. Rehearse Friday night, Saturday before Pre-lims, Some then go somewhere and rehearse before finals that night, then rehearse all day Sunday. It's great to see the innovation they bring and how it filters over to other marching forms.

The Cabs posted today that they well be there, and Bush will be there, Any other corps coming? Anyone making the trek to see the corps?

That's a weird scheduling there. Last year Hornell and the Robbinsville show were the same weekend. This year its up against a more established show at Clifton. Will be interesting to see who else heads to Hornell.

I can guarantee, without a doubt, that Bush will be at the Flemington and Pennsauken shows. :)

I remember hearing right after finals that the Navy stadium would not be available for 2 years after next year.

I was on the edge of the field at Secaucus and could barely hear our pit 40 feet away. The open back venue with the turnpike noise in back of the field even had the judges in the press box struggling to hear the pit.

The Bushwackers have an awesome Open House, and a very successful first camp in the books! Turnout has exceeded expectations across the board. While there are still a few openings in all sections, Bush is currently a bit short of our very aggressive Brass goal for the upcoming season. This year's innovative and exciting show, designed by Minesh Shah and his team, is going to blow minds everywhere this season, but requires an ultra powerful Brass section, and Bush encourages all brass musicians to come check out the corps!
