An uneducated fangirl's final predictions
Barneveld replied to Orwellian Wiress's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
88 was at Arrowhead in KC, not at Camp Randall. -
Order of appearance at the DCI World Championship Prelims (August 11 in Indianapolis, IN) will be based on the reverse order of finish of scores averaged from events in San Antonio, Atlanta, Winston-Salem, and Allentown. Open Class participants will be seeded in the first blocks of performing corps based on reverse order of finish from Open Class Championship events. In the event a corps is not scheduled to appear in a major regional event, their last score received prior to that regional event will be used for averaging purposes. https://dci.org/news/explainer-how-performance-order-is-set-for-2022-dci-tour

It did not happen this year. More to do with scheduling than covid. Alumni & friends have done cookouts and a big Texas bbq in prior years. The steak/lobster feast was done by a generous board member.

Fell asleep early and missed the show. Just getting caught up with all the comments. No whining from this Boston supporter. Congratulations to the Blue Devils tonight!! To be the best, you have to beat the best. And the Blue Devils are the gold standard of excellence in the activity. I remain proud of my Crusaders! Keep working hard/smart. With only 2 weeks left in this fantastic season, I hope all corps remain (or get) healthy. Enjoy these next couple of weeks everyone!!

Apologies, in advance if this info has been posted previously. Was just curious how the guard member who was injured is doing?

Congratulations to the Blue Devils tonight. As I've said in other threads, no matter where Boston finishes (and I do believe anything is possible this year - for the first time in my 35 years of supporting them) I am incredibly proud of them. These last few weeks will be very interesting and exciting for sure. Wishing the best of health for all the participating corps. Enjoy the ride.

Perhaps you'll get a better answer if you ask your question in the Crown thread. 😉

No. They had the same closed rehearsal policy last year. With the problems other corps have had with the virus, they don't want to risk anything.

ALL REHEARSALS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC Effective immediately, all housing, rehearsal sites, and rehearsal stadiums will be closed to outside guests (family, friends, alumni, fans). We have been fortunate with our health to date, but the amount of people coming to rehearsals is growing exponentially. We appreciate the support, the excitement and the love, but we are not equipped to “police” the facilities. Please do not show up to housing or rehearsal sites. They are closed. Only those traveling with the corps staff, corps volunteers may be onsite or at rehearsals. This includes the stadium stands. This includes hotel housing in Indianapolis. The members have made significant sacrifices and have worked extremely hard. Enjoy our performances at the shows. Watch on FloMarching. Follow all of our social media channels. Please do not come to our housing sites, you will be asked to leave. -Chris Holland, Exec. Dir.
