  1. This season has already been a roller coaster for the Mountain Sound corps. With a serious corps emergency involving the family of the director, our Class A corps, Swannanoa Silverstars, has made the decision to fold for this season. We hope to see their return in the next season. However, the World and Open Class corps are very proud that they're off to such a strong start! Practice has not let up even a little, but they're hoping to get another great surge before heading out on the South America tour. (Show announcements coming soon!)
  2. What a fantastic season for the Mountain Sound Corps! Finalists in World and A class with a narrow miss in Open. Cedar Cliff enjoyed their night at the top, but probably got a bit too cocky. (I also thought Vanguard would take percussion...and that Crown would win it...but, well, things happen.) Congrats to Gary and The Knights on another fantastic win from your corps! The Mountain Sound corps will be back with a vengeance in Season 25, ready to rise to the top. :) (Meanwhile, off topic: does anyone remember what the Blue Devils did in 2010 when they beat Mad World? ......exactly. In five years, when people remember Inferno, they'll think the same thing.)
  3. WOAH. Cedar Cliff definitely brought it back tonight. Hopefully they can keep it up and take their first championship title tomorrow night! (I wonder if they put a spell on the judges...mwahahaha. ) Good luck to all the finalists, and congrats to all the participating corps!
  4. The Cedar Cliff Crusaders were thrown off their game a little last night, but are happy to have made it to semifinals. With a little motivational push, we think we can jump back up to medal-range for finals night!
  5. The Blue Ridge Brigade, who had come out on top more than once this season, ended up not making the finals. They didn't fall in ability, but instead stayed stagnant. Every corps around them continued to get better and better. But the corps is very happy with the success they've had this season! Meanwhile, Swannanoa Silverstars placed sixth at prelims and has skated their way into finals night! They're hoping every little thing from this season will come together to help them do great things and achieve the best. Congratulations to all finalists and, heck, congrats to all the performing corps!
  6. The Blue Ridge Brigade took off almost a week from shows to practice and refine and in some cases, completely reset. But, it looks like it all paid off. Mountain Sound Productions isn't done yet, folks. The Swannanoa Silverstars are coming back tonight for a show after taking the practice time as well, and the Cedar Cliff Crusaders will be looking to improve their scores as they spend time in sectionals, as well. The season's in full swing here!
  7. After barely skating through to finals, the Mountain Sound corps are very happy with their rankings! Cedar Cliff nabbed the Silver, and both Blue Ridge and Swannanoa got the bronze. We have much work to do, but we're quite excited overall. :)
  8. The Mountain Sound corps are performing quite well, and perhaps the best they ever have! It feels fantastic to see the Cedar Cliff Crusaders standing in the bronze position right now, though we know all the corps will be rampin' it up this week. The Blue Ridge Brigade and Swannanoa Silverstars are quite happy as well with their 4th and 8th place positions, and they'll stop at nothing to keep rising to the top. Great performances all around at Regionals! We eagerly await the scores...
  9. All three of the Mountain Sound corps have had some crazy upsets in scoring when it comes to individual captions...needless to say, we're all taking tomorrow off to practice. The Crusaders and the Brigade will probably be doing some intense visual, but the Silverstars look to be practicing their music in sectionals. (Looking at you, trumpet choir...) We'll see you at Villanova, and hopefully take some of you by surprise.
  10. Congratulations on your wins tonight! Great shows, all. The Blue Ridge Brigade and Swannanoa Silverstars will be looking forward to a rematch tomorrow in College Park.
  11. The corps of Mountain Sound Productions had a great home show at Cramer High on Friday night! All the corps were very hospitable and kind. They also performed greatly! If these corps keep on going like they are now over the rest of the season, well, we're gonna have a great season of drum corps on our hands! Congratulations to all corps at Charlotte, and best of luck in the future. Cheers from the Cedar Cliff Crusaders!

  13. All the Mountain Sound corps have been off their game recently. We're using lots of visual drills and making drastic last minute changes to hope for higher General Effect scores to come. Midnight Vanguard specifically is working to make up for their lost time. However, we are proud to have taken home Regional Silver for Blue Ridge and Bronze for Swannanoa! Both the corps are working even harder to improve their scores for the next events. Go Mountain Sound!
  14. The corps of Mountain Sound Productions are off to a fantastic start this season. With the introduction of a new Class A corps (the Swannanoa Silverstars) and a renewed Open Class corps (the Blue Ridge Brigade,) we hope to extend the music to an even bigger crowd of fans. We're making big changes to all the shows within the next few days, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, because the Mountain Sound is about to take the nation by storm. :)

  16. There are no words for how proud I am of Midnight Vanguard. They've really brought their A-game their second season, and I'm hoping it goes nowhere but up from here! Amazing shows from the rest of you all as well! So many talented kids. *holds back happy tears*

  18. The Mountain Sound of Asheville is happy with where they placed in their debut season and hope to do better next time around. Meanwhile, WOW! Midnight Vanguard is thankful and proud to be in regional placement, especially for it being their debut season as well! They never expected to come this far and they're so proud of how they're doing. Both corps of the Mountain Sound Productions are deeply thanking their fans right now, for being with them through this season and to continue with them in their journeys yet to come.
  19. Hey! I was just informed that the name of my Open Class corps, "The Rocketeers," has already been taken in real life DCA. Could I have that changed to the Mountain Sound of Asheville?
  20. The Rocketeers are extremely excited for tonight's home show! They are ready to show all the visiting corps their Southern hospitality. (:
  21. Both Midnight Vanguard and the Rocketeers are excited to make their corps debut tonight in Spartanburg!
