Second camp always has more kids because those who tried to move up to the top 12 and didn't make it come back to their original corps. I heard about quite a few Colts brass players being contracted with Cadets and assorted other corps. I hope there are enough vets left for them to build on with the new staff.

How was their vet retention? With so many changes, the vets might take their chances elsewhere.

Why aren't they bringing any of their talented female WGI performers to Bloo? I never said they were sexist. Just pointing out that two years in a row with no females in percussion seems odd to me. Feel free to provide other explanations.

How do you know? Most top 12 corps have femails in their front ensemble. It would seem the ladies aren't auditioning at Bloo. Do you really think there aren't any women talented enough to be in their front ensemble? I can see no women in the battery since not many audition, and most of the other top 12 corps do not have any female battery performers. Look at the top WGI percussion ensembles. They all have female members.

Show me another corps that besides Madison or Cavies that hasn't had a lady in the pit for two straight years. Girls aren't going to waste their time auditioning if the section folks prefer men. Audition weekends are limited, so you have to go where you actually have a chance for a spot.

Your have a better chance at a horn spot. Lots more competition for percussion from native percussionists, and fewer spots.

One GE judge scored Phantom 1st the other scored them 7th. Something is wrong with the system for them to be that far off.

I think we got the Denver sound instead of the Minneapolis sound. We had multi cans over the weekend when there were two dhows. I wonder why they can't do multi cams tonight?

The shadow over 1/3 of the field is so distracting!

I agree bluestainedglass. I think they are much better than Surf this year.
