I agree completely. Although in person, I enjoyed it more than the recording. Something about the ending didn't do anything for me. It just sort of stopped... The first half was awesome though. I was told big changes are in the works.

When I donated to Carolina Crown this year, they said I would get a subscription to fan network as a thank you gift. Then a couple weeks later, I got an email saying fan network was being shut down and they were going to send me a DVD instead. I have no idea if this is true or not, and I didn't donate because I wanted a gift so it didn't make any difference to me.

I've not been able to get a solid answer. There is conficting information and the website is no help. We don't want to camp or spend the night, just want it there for the day during prelims.

I suppose the older style bugles we used made it more difficult, but the stuff we were playing wasn't near as challenging as the scores I heard the other night. Plus, we weren't running at top speed backwards, forwards and sideways. Not sure if it's true, but someone said they move at 200bpm. I don't see how they do it. The talent in these groups is amazing. All the groups were wonderful, but Crowns horn line was really mind boggling. I've got tickets to Indy to see the finals, can't wait.

I haven't seen a competition in person since I was in the Argonne Rebels in the 70's. I went to Atlanta last weekend and loved it!! It's a lot different than it was, but everything changes. Really enjoyed the Blue Coats and Carolina Crown was amazing. They must have beamed down aliens to play those horns, no way humans could play like that! Amazing! The biggest difference I think is that we were all from a small town in Kansas, farm kids and Sandra Opie taught us how to play.
