WVU had a nice rep back then. I remember being at BOA Nationals with a WVU jacket on and I couldn't tell you how many people made commits about how good WVU's band was.

Another guy I was impressed with at WVU was David Williams, great arranger and writer, did some stuff with him back in the day too.

yeah, he was, and your right, great player. We did a few gigs down in Charleston together in the late 80's

Adam Mason was one of the guys I remember most, he was Garfield staff for a long time.

He was a great band director, learned alot from him. Amazing job really, such a big band. Thing I remember most is the biggest cheer on sat was the pride taking the field.

Good times then, lots of kids started heading to Garfield (esp perc) several guys on Garfileds staff were WVU perc majors. I was the lone Bloo at the time.
