  1. Toss in Crossmen and Glassmen and lets see what happens. Should be fun to watch!
  2. I think we'll see things start to shake out this weekend in San Antonio. Usually starts when everyone starts knocking heads with each other.
  3. Blue Knights are creeping up too. I can think of a couple of Corps that might want to check their rear-view mirrors.
  4. Our weather is better here than in Orlando. Look like they may be reduced to a standstill downthere.
  5. Weather appears to be gettint better. Most of the action is now North of the Stadium. Rockies game is under way as well (top 2nd inning). Problem, is with the weather moving in from the Southwest, it doesn't really show on the radar until it gets to the foothills. The mountains and high peaks tend to mask it.
  6. At Drums along the Rockies on July 11. Madison and the Colts will both be there. Actually, it will be the night before in Windsor, CO. Then Drums the next night.
  7. Add in Troopers and Academy to that mix. Could be the best fight we've seen for the last two spots since 1988. Should be fun!
  8. I love it! When SCV used Applachian Spring in 1983 as the closer, they finished it the same way. It was just as effective then as it is now. It also is true to Aaron Copland's score for the piece. IMO, you don't have to finish a show at light speed to be effective and leave a lasting impression with the judges and fans. Done well, it can be very moving and beautiful moment. I give SCV's staff credit for taking a different approach to a finale and especially to the members for buying into it and selling it.
  9. Anyone know when they're going to add the Brass Judge to the slates?
  10. VERY Happy to read that! I think its great that there are now two strong World Class Corps out of our region. Lets see how things pan out this season. But I think it's safe to say that the Rocky Mountain Region will be well represented this year.
  11. Completly agree with that Galen. It was the one element that they lacked last seaon. Might have made a serious run for 12th with a full guard.
  12. Very Cool Lee! That is one of my all time favorite shows. The Performance in Finals was so emotional. And that Drum Line had the ultimate Bada** attitude.
  13. The higher the place, the tougher the vote. Still....... 2008 Phantom Regiment. I never felt before what I did that night in Blommington. Just Incredible.
  14. So many great shows and performances from this group. I've got to go with 1989 Cavaliers. Wonderful music, great drill, innovative precussion and guard. One of the most engaging shows I ever saw.
  15. I CAN'T believe this! No votes yet for the 1975 27th Lancers. Ralph Pace drill , Crown Imperial, Danny Boy, THAT DRILL!, Company Front Pinwheel, THAT DRILL!, Oh! That Color Guard! Best Rifle Line. Ever!
  16. 1986 Suncoast Sound. The best treatment of "Adventures in Time" I ever heard and saw. Horline was teriffic. And I loved the Guard. Drumline was no sloch either. thosw kids came to play. the performance in Finals was sterling.
  17. 2008 Blue Stars. What a way to get back in the 12!!
  18. 1986 Sky Ryders! We're Off To See The Wizard!
  19. SCV 1984. The slow, diminuendo at the end of the show in Copland's "Tender Land" was so beautiful. A wonderful moment.
  20. 1983 Bridgemen. Flat out the most electrifying Drum Solo I ever saw. Crowd just went nuts over it.
