  1. PR '97 - arguably the most talented PR corps (wonder why). An insanely difficult show on top of that. Suprissingly to new people to the activity- PR actually has way more M&M trophys than Brass ones. Including some perfect 10's in years past.
  2. gotta be PR '91 - Bachanalle...that's just an amazing show- cutting edge guard work there sorry, was thinking of the mello's, and that screamed north by northwest to me, my bad
  3. playing at half valve, or wind pattern (using just air, and no buzz) are also great- playing afterwards is a "celebration" Simply play the piece as normal while doing either. The resistance caused by the half valve forces you to use your ears, and apply more pressure. With the wind pattern you will need to breath MUCH more often, but at the same time- playing normally afterwards is exceptionally easy. Always envision projecting your sound to somewhere far away. Don't forget to keep your teeth open- that was a big thing for me. Makes for a fatter rounder sound that carries.
  4. the king's just had construction issues because they were prototypes manufactured during a strike! no matter how they held up- and thank God they somehow all made it - the sounded amazing. Like Bb bugles- and man you could put some air through those things.
  5. how many people here actually saw all of the shows?
  6. there were a couple pedals in Regiment '03 end of Wild Nights 2 - after the matrix stuff - by the low brass Ostinato - beginning by the contras
  7. air, a bit more air, and then about that point when your fingers start to tingle and all those white spots apear, RELAX and use more air...that's when the horn comes to life. oh yeah, proper inhalation method works wonders check out Sam and Pat's Breathing Gym (what regiment used). The results can be down right scary.
  8. man Arizona State Sam and Pat are as cool as anyone you'd ever meet.
  9. I was in the front of the block blasting, and I could barely hear it, lol - brought tears to this age-outs eyes SUTA to ya'll for recognizing that last component not on the judeges sheet - heart.
