  1. Agreed, lol! What I meant was that of the three captions, after a show has really been established, I would expect GE to vary the least unless major changes have been implemented. I would expect more variance in music and visual based on technical errors in those captions. I feel like GE is definitely more subjective by it's very nature, than music and visual captions because it relies more on each individual judges interpretation, impression and opinion. And that's understandable and ok.
  2. I really wish the judging crews would be more consistent. I totally understand how visual and music scores can vary greatly from show to show. But not overall GE. The Bluecoats beat the Blue Devils by .45 in GE in San Antonio. But tonight in Dallas, one show later, the Devils beat the Bluecoats in GE by .10 I wasn't at the show in Dallas, but I doubt the Bluecoats had a GE meltdown.
  3. SCV is visually stunning! Just a very well rounded corps!
  4. Ok, my curiosity is getting the best of me, lol. What is RAMD? Or do I even want to know? ;-)
  5. Has anyone seen the Troopers live? If so, what do you think about their chances of making finals?
  6. Haha, oh my gosh. :-)I think this is providing way too much fun for some folks. At my expense ;-)
  7. No more ballsy then the people that keep this issue going! And for what good reason?! Was the apology not good enough?
  8. Ballsy?...I truly wish that people would just let the issue die, but instead they want to keep making comments. I'm here to enjoy drum corps and everyone's commentary along with everybody else. But I will defend myself if necessary. And if you call that being ballsy, that's fine.
  9. So let me get this straight, Cappy. It's ok for people to keep jabbing at me after I've already basically apologized for offending them, but NOT ok for me to defend myself and respond to their inappropriate comments??
  10. Tim, I don't think anyone is really attacking "The Cadets". I made a comment in last night's show thread that erupted into flames! But I was not attacking "The Cadets" Not the kids and not the organization. Awesomely talented kids, and a fine organization. I was criticizing their show design. But I truly hope they make whatever changes necessary to mold that show into a contender. Those kids, their fans and that organization deserve nothing less! I am a Bluecoats fan, but even more than that, I'm a DCI fan! I'm the guy that shows up early to watch EVERY corps perform because I love all the corps.
  11. Absolutely! And thanks for the information. I wish they would always have full judging panels. Really the only way to do it right.
  12. Lol, you don't need to feel sorry for me. I'm just wondering how long ######## like you are going to keep bringing up the comment that was made. That I've already said I regretted making, because I certainly didn't intend to offend anyone. But apparently you don't have anything better to do than to keep stirring the ####.
  13. The last thing I will say is this: I don't represent the Bluecoats, and I dont represent any other fans. Right or wrong, my comments should only represent me! In hindsight, I regret making the post. It was never meant to attack the kids or the organization...strictly the design of the show.
  14. I won't be making any more posts, don't anyone worry.
  15. You can believe whatever you like. I maintain an objective point of view, even of the Bluecoats...They are far from perfect.
  16. Folks, I'm a huge fan of this entire activity...But I believe in calling things what they are. As far as the Cadets closing the gap tonight? That's nothing but a healthy dose of east coast sympathy/preference from the judges. It's a shame too because those kids in the Cadets are extremely talented and they're working their tails off! But their show is a giant turd. And the show designers are to blame for that...and shame on them. Congrats to them winning high percussion tonight...Well deserved!
  17. I wish DCI Live would get more consistent with the mic placements and audio quality during their streams...
  18. I agree! They sound really big, warm, clean and balanced! Now if they can ever get their guard performing up to the level of the brass. Even percussion sounds much improved this year. I'm a big fan of Troop...my son marched with them the last three years. They should definitely make finals this year.
  19. Thanks for the periscope views tonight, barigirl78! I got to see my son with the Bluecoats ;-)
  20. My son is marching euph this year for the Bluecoats! He's also the bass trombone on the far left of the ramp during the ballad.
  21. Hey guys! I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts and opinions on the shows so far. I'm a huge fan of the whole DCI activity. My son marched with the Troopers for the last three years, but this year he's marching with his dream corps....THE BLUECOATS!...Da-Dunh Da-Dunh Da-Dunh Da-Denh, Da-Dunh Da-Dunh Da-Dunh! Sorry, I couldn't resist...love me some Tilt! I just got my DCI Live subscription activated, and I'm looking forward to seeing some west coast shows tonight. Is anyone periscoping the show tomorrow night?
