Only tarp I've seen was a tarp rolled out during a part of No One. The guard do some sort work on it as it is rolled out. It's a football helmet with the Crown symbol on it, with the yard line strewing behind it. If that makes any sense. Lol.

Not trying to take up for Boston, lord knows, but they do have a hanging on the right hand side of the field as well as burning one on the left front.

Only part I enjoyed of 2010 was Danzon. That's the one show by crown I just don't like.

The Crown kids are used to everyone loving their show. Blue Devils are used to hate and after last year is say Cadets are as well. Lol.

I think it might have to do with the amount of negativity this year that the corps isn't used to dealing with. Could be wrong though.

My father is a truck driver and can legally drive for 14 hours a day as long as he takes 15 for lunch. I'm not sure where you're getting 10 hours a day...he has to have a 48 hour reset after so many hours, but he still makes it everywhere in time and normally did the reset where he delivers. I don't see it becoming an issue honestly.

There more than just a select few. The hate that was on here, and is now on YouTube and reddit is astounding. Regardless, she does indeed have great pipes. Now as for you hating a certain song selection, thats gonna happen every now and then. Even I have a few songs over the years, and one show in particular, by crown that I don't like. Lol.

Hell I can't even be my own hype man and work out. As we speak I'm eating leftover pizza and crazy bread while knocking back a long neck in my lazyboy.

While that is technically true, you can get a better idea of placement in comparison to different competitions with trained judges. If they use what they were taught in training, then they should all be following the same format.

Okay, just got home from the show. Some thoughts and observations. Crown is absolutely phenomenal and is making a serious run for the title! Earlier on at rehearsal I thought things were going to head in a completely different direction. There were guard drops at every stopping point and they were well addressed. They were even told that they were "letting everyone down". There were some step off issues, as well as people missing some visuals. Well, they definitely looked different tonight. Didn't notice any guard drops (forgive me if there were any). The brass absolutely slaughtered it. The percussion sound massively improved over the years and might be the best line they've ever had (this coming from a brass/woodwind guy so take it with a grain of salt). The yardlines were pretty well hidden with the planks which also blended in real well with the color of the turf. Only issue I noticed was the tarp, which didn't seem to want to unravel tonight (which worked beautifully during rehearsal). Now, to the people who hate the soloist, y'all are absolutely crazy. She was gorgeous tonight as well as in rehearsal. The balance is a lot better in person, and I would even put it above Bostons soloist (who ends up getting lost most of the time in the brass). She's really starting to come into her own and her arm movements look a little more controlled and choreographed. To all the nay sayers, I've got one thing to say. Boston isn't the only ones eating 'em up. Carolina Crown is hungry.

Thanks. They really would have. We were in marching band and choir together and they always wanted to do a wicked show with vocals. Never got to, so hopefully they'll be looking down and smiling tomorrow.

Just found this little jewel. I don't care what anybody says, this soloist is PHENOMINAL! I look forward to hearing her tomorrow. Definitely going to be an emotional show for me. My two best friends passed away in a car crash 10 years ago this year and they were always singing For Good together in the choir room in high school. I might shed a few tears. Anyways, enjoy the video and I'll be sure to give my 2 cents after they perform tomorrow. KNOCK EM DEAD CROWN!

Yep! Will be heading up about 2 or 3 to catch full ensemble rehearsal and then leaving to get something eat before it starts since there's about a 4 hour downtime between box office opening and the starting time. Lol.

Nah, I watched the video from Orlando. They're cleaning the hell out of this show. As someone kept saying, this show is shaping up to be a beast. I'm definitely getting a 2009 mixed with 2013 vibe from it still. Loving it more and more each time I watch it. Come Saturday night I'll be completely infatuated with it. Lol.
