1. Toss up between crown and bluecoats. 3. Cadets 4. Cavies 5. Boston 6. Phantom Let's see how wrong I am in a few minutes.

Crown, what can I say other than there is no denying how incredible that hornline is! And the guard, wow! Percussion seems MUCH improved to me. So far I predict a dog fight between crown and bluecoats all season long.

Bluecoats mean business! Wow! I think they have a great visual package. Those trombones were SICK! Definitely a contender for gold imo.

Cadets, The potential for a memorable show is there! Lots of work to do. That hornline and percussion is fire. Guard is improving!

Phantom, I like this program better than last year. But from my first viewing I don't feel like this is the year phantom makes their come back =( overall the show has potential, I'd put cavies ahead of them and Boston right there with them maybe slightly behind. Certainly an improvement from last year, just not sure it's enough. It's only June though! I hope they prove me wrong!

Cavies first impression: YAAASSSSSS! Cavies are back. Great use of the trombones. I love the attitude from the corps! This is a great vehicle for cavies to make their come back. Well done cavies!

Short reviews during the show. I'm live at Lucas oil. Boston first impression: wow, that hornline has a big sound. I'm on the hype train already for a dark horse in Boston. Not a fan of the props, extremely distracting from field level, not sure how it would look from higher up. Solid percussion and guard. Nice rifles. A couple kids took a spill but thankfully they seemed to make a quick recovery and be Ok. Well done Boston!

I'm dead center on the 50 right up front ready to have my face melted! I think this year might even top last year as far how great all the corps are. Go crown! And bluedets too!

I'm at their ensemble right now. THEY SOUNDS SO GOOD!

Nevermind, if I had just a little more patience! They just posted. Ensemble at 3 for anyone interested in going. Say hi to the guy with the beard and black florida state hat if you'd like, I always enjoy meeting new people. I'll also be wearing my fancy crown donor pin ;)

Any word on when brass or ensemble will be on the practice field? They haven't posted their schedule for the day on Facebook yet and it's a 2 hour drive to get to Avon.

Yeah BK over SCV might be wishful thinking but I really think they have something special going on there. I'm a crown homer but I definitely think they all the pieces in place to win it this year. I'm probably way off about BD, but so far I just can't get into their show. To me it feels recycled from previous years, but that's just personal opinion.

I also received two different videos. One low res and one high res later that night. The first donor video I got a few weeks ago was in my spam folder so you make sure you check that.

After watching it a couple more times and I must say "Bizarre" is the perfect word to describe this show. I love it. The hornline is pure bliss. Guard was sloppy but this was an issue for them last year as well and it was only the preview show. I'm a brass guy so I can't judge percussion at all, but they sound #### good to my untrained ear. Obviously there is a lot of dirt, just like every other corps right now. I feel like this is a great start for the cadets. I already like this show 100 times better than any of their shows since 2011. I was not a fan of the 2015 show (don't hurt me cadet fans!) Please please please turn that synth down in the closer! Goodness gracious I almost had to mute the video during that. I assume that this was a simple balancing error that will be fixed prior to the next show. Overall I feel this show definitely has the potential to contend for a tittle! As of right now I'm all aboard the hype train for both Crown and Cadets. Not at all a fan of BD at the moment. (Honestly I haven't enjoyed any of their preview shows in a long time), but they do tend to grow on me throughout the season never becoming a favorite of mine, more tolerable I guess you could say (hiding from any BD fans now). Still waiting to see Bluecoats! I'll see them live in Indy on Thursday! This is going to be a great summer!

I'm a total crown homer. Will you still love me?

I've been lurking as a guest for years. I know how the dcp community is lol. I'm finally bored enough to start participating! In other news crown and cadets look fantastic, can't wait to see them live in Thursday, and to see what bluecoats bring to the table.

Long time lurker, finally posting to say I'm right there with you, I haven't laughed this hard in awhile!
