tonight is the first time i have seen this show in person. really enjoyed it so much more than on dci.live. looking forward to another opportunity to see it tomorrow!

i was not speaking in terms of a direct comparison, i am implying that the excitement generated by iconic shows like those seemed to be what was happening this year w bc. just surprised by what i saw and heard.

I usually just stay on the side read all of these great posts and I loved the play-by-play last night - thank you. I was so excited to get to semis as I had not seen crown or bluecoats live, i was already a fan of bd, scv, and cavies' shows and i was pleasantly surprised how much i enjoyed bk live! When bc came on I was prepared for E=mc2 or Spartacus or Felliniesque or even Angels and Demons - so much hype and excitement! I'm sad to say I was disappointed. The feet, amps, pacing, and so much solo/soli features - it just did not translate for me - imo.

I would take that promo with a grain of salt - there IS a reason it is gone. Sometimes one hand is not talking to the other, it happens. This show is going to be about the kids marching these two corps this year. The team producing it is a class act.
