I can’t believe that GH would even think it is a good idea to attend a show. Narcissistic people like GH feel the need to be in the limelight. The very fact anyone or any organization would provide him with a VIP pass is both appalling and disgusting. Amazing how people have such short memories. What about those whose life will never be the same because of this monster? Where is their VIP pass? DCI has dirty hands allowing this nonsense to happen!

Marching/moving in time vs. "scampering"

Resolving from one set and transition to another has to become part of the initial design not an afterthought. -
Marching/moving in time vs. "scampering"
Poppycock replied to denverjohn's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
Designers use what they know. They have their limitations too. Traditional drill maneuvers are not taught for the most part because designers don’t have the skill sets to teach it, members don’t understand close order drill or the terminology, and it requires extensive time to clean and execute to have a desired effect. Fluttering, jazz running, scatter moves, scampering, follow the leader, ring around the Rosie types of designs, striking poses, emoting, small pods, and parade blocks are what students are most familiar with from marching band and most if not all are incorporated in current productions. Regardless of what is preferable environmental demand, achievement and performance will still remain the criteria for evaluation. Details matter either way.- 49 replies

Congratulations to BAC for a strong showing in SA. Continued success to a wonderful alumni and organization. BD is very young relative to others in the top five. In fact both BD and Cadets followed by Vanguard appear to be the younger of the top six. It will take three exceptional performances to move the Devils out of medal contention. Expect BD to continue being a medalist in the near future.
