Just don't be too disappointed if you don't make finals. ^0^ -
Feburary 11 - Chinese New Years Parade

Not likely. Neither mom or dad are that coordinated. :) As for those drummers -- I've marched next to enough of 'em to have 'em ALL figured out. :D -

Feburary 11 - Chinese New Years Parade

<shrugs> Haven't thought that far ahead. We can probably make them at cafepress.com. BTW -- I visited a baby stuff store in San Bruno called Lullaby Lane last night. They actually had a couple of black baby outfits. I didn't pay attention to sizes so don't know if they'll fit Olivia at this point (I think they were meant for 6 months olds or so) but her mommy or daddy can probably call and find out if they stock anything else in black for older kids. http://www.lullabylane.com -

Hey Kanika, I thought you and I could march carrying the Renegades sign with t-shirts that say "Future Renegade" pointing to our bellies. Whadayathink? :-) This'll be the first time in 4 years that I won't have a scheduling conflict with the parade so I'll be there in some way, shape, or form. -Irina -

Will the Renagades win DCA in 2006?
EvilStimpy replied to wayne6's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
Thank you all for providing entertainment this afternoon when I really needed it. My workday is going so much faster because I can come and check out DCP between meetings and get my dose of Drum Corps BS (which is more fun and less stressful than work BS). May this thread never end. Oh, and by the way, as a member of the Renegades . . . I would like to say . . . WE ARE SO ####### GREAT! -
I doubly, tripply, quadruply agree with this sentiment. The Renegades 2004 cymbal line didn't have an instuctor, but they did have real parts and were a part of the drill. They made the most of it with different crash techniques and oodles of visuals. We were still getting compliments in 2005 for the great job they did in '04. But having the Corps support in the form of music and drill was critical.

An unusual Renegades' staff opening

Ha Ha Ha HAHAHAHAHAHAHA What a great first post! Welcome to DCP. Oh, and congrats to the Bucs cymbal line. We watched you guys warm in 2003 and came up and introduced ourselves. (we being the Renegades cymbal line.) You guys are waay fun to watch. Great job. -

I'll quote you on that next time the subject of cymbal size comes up. :P -

Great -- cause that's the first place where we'll be recruiting cymbal players for '06: the colorguard !!! :P -
My deepest sympathies to the Kilties organization and to Lothar's family. -Irina

Dude! If we could get paid to do drum corps, I think pretty much everyone here would quit their jobs and do DC for a living. You're worrying about a problem that doesn't exist. When we're on ESPN in prime time, competing with (and beating -- ratings-wise) Monday night football, Survivor, Tommy Lee in a college band, and whatever other garbage is on during prime time, and getting paid enough to all get paid individually, then we can start worrying about separating amateur corps from professional corps. Until then . . .

Says the man without an Avatar. As for me -- you know the one about how dogs look like their owners. So I don't know what the problem is.

Renegades Death Camp
EvilStimpy replied to LisaLisaMoMeesa's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
Lisa, Someone at work came by to ask me how my weekend was. I just showed them your post. It summed it up pretty well. Lessee: Yeah, I've got couple of bites I'm fighting hard not to scratch. Twisted my ankle once -- no injury so it's all good. I pretty much ignored the porta-a-potties other than first thing Saturday morning. Ick. Lessee -- Matt cut himself on the leg on those #### racks and was bleading on Saturday, with a nice scar and bruise on Sunday. I did the same to a smaller degree on Sunday and have a swollen bruise today. THis is addition to all the usual on my arms. Word-for-word the conversation I had with Steve (my hubby) when I got home from Oakland Airport at about 9:30 pm on Sunday night from loading all our stuff for NC. (Trivia: Renegades are sending 80 different piece of stuff for our show -- this isn't counting stuff we're borrowing, and this is with having some things bundled in groups. How many times can I use the word "stuff" in one sentence?) Oh yeah, Steve doesn't get it either. I'm counting down the hours. Is it Thursday yet???? See you in NC -Irina -
I want to talk about Jester.
EvilStimpy replied to drumlaw80's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
And the picture on Lee's blog doesn't count - we were still working out the kinks during rehearsal. JESTER!! -
Hey Calvin, Will you clean our cymbals too, while you're at it. Hey, you're already doing 20, what's another 8? :P ps. We made cleaning the entire line's cyms a punishment for being late -- you and Andrew should have a cymbal cleaning party. b**bs

I know the guy -- he's legit. He's helped SoCal Dream (all age Corps) raise over $500 in just a few months. For up and coming corps without an established fund raising program in place, this is a great way to get started. The San Francisco Renegades will be using his services as well -- we've already started, just don't have as much raised as Dream so we can't brag just yet. -Irina
