The more I think about it the more I think the wings will be gold on finals night to symbolize the 17 championships.........still waiting on that one trying to ascend though as Scott Chandler would put it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but has anyone counted the number of wings on the field? If I'm correct I see 17 sets of wings on the field at the end with one more running up the stairs which would be 18 total. After watching the Scott Chandler video...........Coincidence................. I know it would almost be too cocky but I wonder if the wings (expect color on finals night) will have years on them commemorating the previous 17 titles.

Actually I did. I'm just tired of every other thread being about the bluecoats.

How do the devils ever compete with all these transcendent shows when according to the critics they never move?

I give the bluecoat fans credit. Even when they continually place 4th all we hear from their fans is that they are getting screwed or they are transcendent. If there was an award for the most ardent fans i would nominate you guys. Should we just rename this forum the Bluecoats are great and the best thing since sliced bread? If you don't agree than obviously you are biased and don't recognize the greatness that is the coats. And not to be outdone the blue devils still stink and never march. If I didn't know better I would check BD for a pulse since they obviously don't work hard maybe they are statues?

If BD is way too dirty I hate to see what you think of other corps.

As I have stated numerous times that is your opinion. You and I aren't objective. I have countless friends that feel like that is the single best moment all year in DCI including the drill. For a change of pace look at the coats show. Yes they move at times (a lot less than their fans think) but there are tons of times where they do a cheesy dance move and are not in unison. They also don't have nearly the flair for doing dance moves that BD does. Marching the most steps in a drill doesn't mean anything if it doesn't make you feel something. I don't think a lot of people on here realize how hard BD is working but even above that which show brings out the most emotions? I would argue for BD every single day of this season. SCV is great but they really don't reach out and grab you the way they used to. I love SCV but I would argue their alumni corp brought out more emotion and I can't wait to see them during semis. As I have stated before the second best show this year for me is the Cavies because there are so many MOMENTS in that show. I do enjoy the coats show the third most.

I can understand this argument. It comes down to apples and oranges. I personally think it adds a lot to the show but that is just my opinion. Obviously I am biased. I love the dance steps (for lack of a better name) in Everything Must Change.

Would you like to wager? BD 4th? I know I'm not objective but no one can objectively say BD is 4th. Pathetic. Please name me another corp that does all the different body motions that BD does...........and they do them in unison.

Until this years BD show this has always been my favorite show of all time. Admittedly that was my first finals in person. Made a vacation out of it and went to Madison. I still have the tapes (I know I know) of that show and absolutely love the music.

They are all great but BD, Cavies, and BLOO. I kind of like the Crossmen too. I went to my first finals (Madison) in 86. I fell in love with BD and this is the very first BD show that I think is slightly better than 86. I love SCV's drill a ton. I just wish there music was more emotional. I miss Gayle Royer. Heck I can't wait to see the SCV alumni corp again. Seeing them earlier in the year was an absolute highlight.

I have read numerous posts by you where you take subtle digs at BD. We get it. You aren't the biggest fan and that is perfectly fine. I love diversity in corps and like all of them. BD is my favorite because the first finals I ever attended in 86. That is still my favorite show of theirs ever until this year. I have numerous friends that love dci that literally won't post on here because they appreciate all the corps and their are too many on here that just look to put down other corps.

I don't feel that way at all and challenge you to find one post where I have said anything like that.

I think the show is demanding but no more than all of the corps. Heck I think the toughest drill is the cavies. So now I'm blind because I don't agree with you. If anything the coats fans are the ones that have proven to be haters. I like all the corps. It seems like a lot of you really don't care as long as BD loses.

We can all say this. I think BD was robbed in 08. Spartacus was great but if you really want to talk about a tough drill then 08 BD set the standard. Sorry but your BD hate shows thru when you say Crown was better in three different years. Crown is great but they always seem to have one weakness somewhere. Even this year I still haven't figured out their props. I keep hoping they adjust. I don't like all the vocals but I give them mad props for being willing to push the envelope.

I'm sorry but I really don't see this incredible demand you guys see. Their drill is not harder than other corps. They just use a big prop right in the middle and they use different dance steps. The coats fans seem to think that they are always moving and that just isn't true. Last year was great and TILT was their best show ever IMHO. This year the way they use their bowler hats is pretty lame. You can tell they keep trying to incorporate the hats but they are reaching. Also their uniforms flat out suck this year. They provide nothing to the show. I always thought CC had the worst unis but coats are giving them a run for their money this year. Some of you guys are right though. The coats shouldn't only be a point ahead of the cavies. The cavies should be beating them. Tougher drill and quite frankly performed better. I have loved the coats for years but just because you are different doesn't mean it's better. As for all the negative comments towards the devils. I honestly feel not one other corp could perform their ballad, their opening two minutes and their finale. Anyone that thinks that opening drill is easy is nuts.

AH the real truth comes out. You are a BD hater. This post is pure comedy gold.

My favorite BD show ever before this year. That was my first finals. Great memories of State Street in Madison.
