I guess if you knew someone who was ruined by this man, you might understand where emotion comes from! He ruined the lives of many young women and if that gets one emotional, then guilty as charged! I will not ever apologize for that and I hopefully know you wouldn’t!

I didn’t accuse anyone of doing bad things! My entire point was he needs to be wiped off all main pages! I will leave it to that! I just guess you didn’t know how up close and personal this thing was to me! My entire first writing was to ask yea/Cadets to rid him as much as they could....if it was me I would hire a temporary student to go through and try to remove him from as much as they found...I am done, I promise!!! I will leave it at that. You can view my intentions however you want! Peace

I guess it is very personal for me because as I said, to see tears coming down a grown mans face because he has been there and helped his best friend get through a few rough decades! I just feel any Cadet he hurt should not be able to see that mug on its main page! I know you do too....you all do! Peace

I appreciate you doing that.I commented on youtube and Instagram! Guess it is emotional for me because I saw In my Cadets friends eyes about 6 weeks ago the pain his best friend was going through by seeing that thumbnail! I apologize to all if I offended ! I just am in mindset that even if I marched Cadets one year, I want what’s the right thing to do...I know you all do too! I know you can’t eliminate him from everything, but to not even to get a response when the comment mentioned a former Cadet victim seeing it and really having a hard time and for it to still be there....I don’t know. I keep thinking if it was my daughter I would want that crap taken down. As I said I no longer have anything to do with Cadets, but am very proud of this Corps! Like you all are!

Jeff, I get it, but you don’t have 2 minutes to take down a video on your main page! I left a message on instagram and youtube to them! How under staffed are they if they don’t have someone monitoring comments in this 24/7 social media age...I am very proud of this Corps, but really no longer have contact with Cadets anything. I am done replying on here after this. A lot of people so angry if you point something out!

I agree fellow Cadet! (Cadets 82)! Not all, but some of these people are throwing gossip around! Like a knitting circle of old women! Wait, that would be a tarnish on old women! Read my post above...these dudes go into full on attack mode! Some were more concerned about this years show and told all to wait after season to worry about getting Hops image off main youtube page!!! I disagreed! I wanted it off immediately so no one he harmed could still see that face! As I said above...I mentioned it to whoever runs their Instagram and YouTube and never got a response....and that was over 6 weeks ago and image is still there! Not one person he harmed should be worried about going to a cadets site and seeing him on main pages! I get he is so throughout 30 some years of cadets and would be very hard to get rid of his image in everything, but wish they could! Never could stomach him the year I marched and more sickened by him after past spring!!! We had Doc Santo as our C D and that filth was waiting in the wings!

I rarely post on here because of this! I marched Cadets early 80’s and made a comment about yea still having “hop” on their YouTube main page front and center of page! These people circled the wagons and told me it was not him, when Einstein’s, a dirty blonde hair man with a beard addressing Corps was anyone else! I marched Cadets and still can call out things they need to address...some of these people I don’t think ever marched and it is sad how they go into attack mode when someone points something out.they have their DCI logos as their picture and that is fine, but I think it speaks to how wrapped up they are in all this! Sad bunch!!! My friend who also marched Cadets had a friend who was harmed by him and when she wanted to see this years unity show went to page and lost it to still see him on the video Cadets: you decide! They told me to alert someone with their social media. I told them I already did on instagram and YouTube....btw I never got a response back and it was like 6 weeks ago and his image is still there! All this lip service from these people! They told me they are doing best they can? Really!!! You can’t find a minute to pull him at least from your main youtube page!

I agree! As a former Cadet I can look back at any photo from decades past and know that was phantom, that was Madison etc... years from now people looking at old DCI photos from this new school costumes and scratch their head and try to figure out which Corps was that? Lastly, I cringe at Corps having brass members laying on their side playing with one hand while propping up head with other! There is no way you are giving member a chance to play properly! They seem to do things to just do them anymore. I personally don’t want to see half of brass lying and contortionist poses! I have talked to members of different current corps and most of the young brass players said they hate it....and surprisingly a lot of young people have told me they wish their corps could style the newer material and blend it with the old school Corps proper uniforms! One kid from Blue Devils told me , the shakos and plumes are just bad a$$! Sorry I know I am long here, but if any of you guys or girls want to see some younger DCI actually digging the older drum corps styles and traditions I stumbled upon a youtuber named Austin Armstrong. He marched it seems like last 3 years at Madison and aged out last year! On his channel at least once a week he puts up old school DCI vids and does a livestream for about an hour on how great DCI really was . Some of young people on the chat stream marched for big corps over past 5 years and most of them are blown away with 80’s Cadets drill or Phantom of late 80’s....it is quite interesting to see a lot of these young people’s comments are they do get the history and identity are leaving corps and most of them dislike it....Austin I know can’t stand the way DCI is going. He said in stream other night it is WGI on a field....thought you might enjoy to catch his streams and what young people are saying! He even takes requests of old shows...ha ha

The Cadets old administration burned so many bridges at high schools around western Pennsylvania that most schools that here Cadets even today say no thanks. I was asked to help find them a school a few years back and I finally had a friend of a friend who had heard tales of cadets, but I put my word and told them it would be fine! Band director told old director, you can have the field and gymnasium for day and night, but these are the strict rules A,B,C &D.He called me up that evening and said director ignored A,B &D! Never again he said! Sad the reputation ....I don’t think there is a school within a 30 mile radius that will have them because of his arrogance!

I did thank them. When they came to a show near me I made it a point to thank as many as I could and told the members how proud I was of them. We just have two differing opinions. I feel if they need to hire someone , temporarily even for a month , they should! I don’t want any obvious upfront images that linger around still there. I do not want one day more to go by and any girl he harmed to go on a yea/Cadets site and still see any image, especially on your main page,still there! We just have differing opinions and that is to not say all of you who posted don’t care. I can tell you all care and don’t want his image around. I just want it done quicker....I love the cadets ,like I know you all do...I wore those colors and just want others who wore them and were harmed , not to see that mug ever again!

Skevnip, I told their social media team on instagram..and after thinking about your comment”to call everyone’s attention to the thing you are saying no one should see.” I don’t want one former Cadet he harmed to go to watch a current cadets vid and still see an image of that piece of filth on the MAIN page of your channel! Just shedding light , my good sir, on some ugliness that is still there. If you don’t get that , then I have nothing else to say! They do have staff that can get rid of the obvious up front images that still linger! I respect you, but your comment did not even come close to what my intention was. Some of you really need to get the DCI fan glasses off and see when someone is just trying to shed light and not darkness! See ya!!!!

Terri, it just sickened me that my friend from 87 cadets had his friend whom was harmed by him and just wanted to see what the unity show was about and went on channel and saw him....At top of main page FRONT and CENTER and she from what he told me was not well rest of the night! I mean I get what you say, but to still have him in a thumbnail at top center of your page....that should not be. I am sorry

Thumbnail is a freeze of a video! He is in quite a few vids on their channel...still! I think we can agree that no woman he harmed should go to cadets page and still see that monster anywhere! Peace

Sorry dude, watch the video , that is him unless he has a twin! Also my point is, should any girl he harmed, but still loves the corps not have to worry about seeing that filth anywhere on that channel. John Calipari ‘s image is gone from Memphis just for recruiting

I have only written twice ever on here, but as a former Cadet(only marched about 1/3 of a season and left for personal reasons) I went on Cadets, my Corps, instagram tonight and had to leave a piece of my mind to their social media teams, whatever the heck that is! A good friend of mine who marched Cadets 87 Appalachian Spring show, and is a friend of one of the girls “The Hop” harmed was telling me last night that at the top of the Yea/Cadets YouTube channel , main page, there is a thumbnail with that monster front and center...he also is still in a bunch of Cadet/yea throughout the channel...Really? In this 24/7 social media world, not one person thought to take that image off its main page...Makes this Unity seem like a bunch of lip service! If they have to hire someone for a month to go through and erase all images and mentions of that filth , Do It! My friend said the girl he knows finally worked up the nerve to want to see a vid on unity show and when she went to Cadets YouTube channel and still saw him there....well you can imagine! Hell, the NCAA eradicates team members and coaches from history and that is just for recruiting violations! I was a Cadet, but I am a loving human being first and this is an embarrassment and horrible oversight of an organization that claims to have cleaned house!!!!Doc Santo must be rolling in his grave!
