Since I like finding patterns in places where there are none, I listed all the times a corps made an appearance. BD, Bloo, Cadets, and Crown made the most with 6 pictures while BDC, Incognito, SCVC, Vessel, and Watchmen were featured 0 times. So is this grounds for a big-DCI conspiracy? I feel like there's never been a bad season, 2014 was my personal favorite because every corps all around was amazing, 2011 and 2016 are close behind though

With numerous staff changes, 3 corps that placed above them not going to Indy, and a large turnout throughout the camp season, what do you see or hope to see for the 2019 Cascades? Personally I think it's entire possible for the corps to grow from last year and make at Semis

I feel like those 11/12th place spots could be anyone's game for Crossmen, Phantom, Music City, Academy, Spirit, or Colts, maybe Music City the least likely but stranger things have happened

Exactly, positive change is what we can hope for. I know the petition to remove Acheson received over a thousand signatures from current and former members so I can positively say that alumni and current members, myself included, will be the force for positive change so that we can shed the negative impact of Hopkins, Roman, Stevens, and countless others

I've heard talk of abandoning DCI just as corps did back in 1971 but in this day and age is that even possible? Corps are in a much more volatile and shaky position than they were in the 70s, back then there were hundreds of local corps to bolster drum corps attendance rates. While audiences are bigger and corps are growing everyday would it simply be possible to start a completely new circuit? Costs are rising and corps are waning. DCI needs to clean house before we can simply abandon it.

Couldn't of said it better, as a relatively younger member this is highly concerning. I age-out 2023 and I am already planning my coming summer with my corps but at this point, with the way DCI has been handling transparency I'm highly considering marching past 2019. Honestly I find this very disappointing on DCI's behalf, the original Reddit post may have called out staff members who put their students at risk but I did not find it to be a rude or condescending tone. This corps had a very promising future that DCI is ruining at this point.

In 2020 like Kidsgrove, it was mentioned at the very end of the DCI.org article

I don't think it's been said yet, but Beeches Performance Ensemble will also be coming over to the US as well so for the first time in many years, two international corps are hopping the pond to perform in DCI!
