Thinking About Marching In '08?
TheMoonlightChef replied to kevingamin's topic in DCA - All-Age Corps Discussions
I bought a book called "The Bodybuilders nutrition Book" by Dr. Franco Columbu. Although we are not bodybuilders in the sense of weight lifting, this book contains great info on working out and feeding the machine that is our body. I eat spinach, eggs, pineapple, tuna packed in water right out of the can (no mayo, just in the spinach with a hard boiled egg and some red onion), cottage cheese, salmon, tilapia, chicken, salad, tomatoes, raw almonds, beans, etc. like it's my job. I quit smoking, and I walk/run just about every morning. The weight is coming down. I was at an all time high of 185. My goal is about 165-170. That's healthy for me. I'm 5'5 and have a small frame, and am extremely muscular in legs and arms, but my problem area is my stomach (my family has what we call toothpick disease -- we look like watermelons on 2 toothpicks -- slim of hip, butt, and legs, but a bit robust in the tummy area). I'm in excellent health as far as cholesterol, liver functions, blood pressure, heart, lungs, etc. is concerned. Just need to watch everything I eat from now on. Get the book. It's wonderful. -
Congratulations to the Sunrisers and all my old friends that I saw back in uniform again. People I marched with years ago. I'm so happy for all of you. Get it Battle Hymn!

6 years with Sunrisers 1994-1998, 2002 5 years (so far) with the Hawthorne Caballeros. I'll never wear another uniform, unless it's the uniform of the Cabs Alumni. -

I'll be on the field, roaming around the 50 in Act IV. See ya'll there. -
On behalf of me, myself, and I, (and my beloved Caballeros) I want to wish all competing, alumni, and mini-corps, I&E and small ensembles, etc. the very best of luck and success this weekend. I know it's going to be a weekend for the record books, as always. See you all on the 50. Literally! :) :) :) :) :) CABALLERO PRIDE!

Wow sir. Last time I checked Cabs, Empire, Bush, Hurcs, Brigs, Sun, etc, were ALL quality organizations. As well as the Bucs. They are all class and I have quite a few friends on the Blue team. I don't need to beat a dead horse and talk about how hard ALL the teams in DCA work to put out a fine product for the fans and judges. I don't need to remind everyone that this activity is one that we do by choice and for fun. And I certainly do not need to point out that fact that we cannot please everyone all the time or even some of the time. I honestly think you, sir, are just jaded and hate this activity and have your own agenda. And that is my personal opinion from reading your posts over the past several months. Take no offense to this as this is MY PERSONAL OPINION, but maybe you should look into finding another hobby to submarine and berate. <**> Thank you and see you on the 50. Literally. Amen my brother.
