Congratulations to The Knight for capturing the Knight's Sword last night in Rockford, IL. Their win over the Velour Knights, gives them the honor of carring the Sword into the next competition. If the VK had to give it up, glad it was to another CLASS corps. Nice Win!!

The VK Org. BOD has finally submitted their application for the inclusion of Knightmare into CLASS ACT competition.

Thanks for the info and welcome to the league. FYI... If you so happen to place higher than a corps by the name of Shade at championships, will earn the Class A North Carolina State Championship. Good Luck!! -

Nice job May I ask where the Knights of Note are from? PS. That rainout in Orlando is still playing havoc with our captions. -
Nah, it's mostly likely to happpen something like this. "DRUM MAJORS FRONT AND CENTER" One drum major will leave the block without the other one. As the 1st DM is setting up his lawn chair, you hear from the VK block, "I AM SPINAL TAP"!!! Run from the block with the Knights Sword, stabs the other DM takes his chair and uses his dead body as a foot rest.

Knightmare is still fine tuning their show selections. Hopefully an announcement can be made by the end of the weekend. Although the Exec. Director (ME) has a VERY busy real drum corps weekend. I know the deadline is the 17, so I'm not panicing yet.

The VK Org. had its' best showing of the season last night. Sweeping all class and walking away the coveted "Knights Sword". The kids couldn't be happier and the staffs took huge sigh of relief that the shows are actually working and we're getting credit for it. -
Thanks Although it needed a good polishing (who's fingerprints are those anyway ) the Sword shines brightly in the window of bus #1. Now need to figure a way to incorporated with our lawn chairs at retreat.

Whats going on with the OC?

Off the top of my head I would say that they had an infux of talent when Cascades decided to go inactive last year. With Cascade back on the field, my guess is that those kids went back. -

Jeff, Just want to make sure that there wasn't some kind of extraction or data entry error when getting scores, because the bottom fell out of some corps. (dropping 20 points). -
John, I think all the changes that have been made, have all been for the better. Although some have taken some getting used to, I think the system is VERY user friendly. Maybe some of the newer directors can give feedback on how easy it was get registered and set up. About the scores page. My only complaint is that you really can't print out the pages without using a lot of paper. Meaning I used to get a whole day's worth of scores printed out in one MAYBE two sheets of paper. I'd print it out and 3-hole punch them and keep them in a binder. Not wanting to use THAT much paper for records that really don't need to keep, I stopped doing that because wach show was 2 maybe 3 pages. Not a big deal, I'll get over that and help save the rainforest at the same time. But maybe you could get each corps to one line each. Layout the fields so that read across. Anyway that's my feedback. It could be just me being stuck in my old ways (in my old age), so don't take what I say as dislike to the way it is. I'm 2COOL with it

Interesting that the 7 voters had the same 12 Open Class corps in their poll, not the same order, but the same corps nontheless. -

The VK Org. is very pleased with our showing at the Western Regional. First off all 3 corps were able to have 3 performances on the island. Making finals was a good ending to a fabulous trip. The icing in the cake were the 2 sets of silver medals the kids get to bring home. As the director I see the joy on the kids' faces and can't help but to feel the happiness that runs throughout the organization right now, but I also see that there is still a lot of work ahead of us for the remainder of the seaon. Fixing a transition here and there, cleaning the whole second half the the new closer drill and a list full of other things. Congrats to all of the regional winners and medalist. Side Note: While I was updating Velour Knights' DCPI page, I noticed a odd little pattern to my west regional history. in every season since season 4, live seaons I place 2nd, off seaons I place 4th. Hold true every season (no regionals in season 8). Maybe I need to find a new regional for the off seasons -

I should have never said that The VK Org. is very pleases with our showing in the Aloha State. Bringing home 2 silver medals and a 4th place finish....not too bad. Congrats to California Knights (who get to hold on to "The Sword" for yet another night), Providence & Shade on their regional championships. -

Thank You!! Season still early, and we still have more captions to figure out once they get evaluated by the green shirts. On my way over to the stadium now for finals (still early afternoon over here on the island). -
Well to answer your question without answering your question You have to study recaps and find "best buy" captions. Just like real life corps, it takes a while (for some) to develop a way of "designing" your show for success. Don't give up, you'll figure it out.

Man those Tokyo Tornadoes have some big bucks. In Riverside, Ca one night. The next they are in Lynn, MA. Finally ending up in Hawaii the 3rd night. We need new sponcers!! EDIT: PS. Are they from Californina or Tokyo? Would be the difference in having a Open Class International Champion or not. Because we have Lunar Eclipse as the lone open class international corps.
