  1. Well I may be the only one but since you reminded me that we are using Finals scores for Open and A, I've been scrambling to make changes because I everything based on Semi scores. Luckily every positive change has not been met with a "dupe" message. Considering everyone ahead of me in Class A has a different GE set, I think I'm ok. 2 more changes tonight and I'll be fine. (crossing fingers)
  2. I can understand that, I'm a Tiger myself.... Valencia H.S. Tigers Paw Power!!
  3. So in theory you COULD start posting scores in about an hour or so? Maybe if you had an incentive......like someone were to bake you some cookies.
  4. Fair enough. I guess there may still be directors who haven't made their final caption changes yet. Plus there really isn't a performance order so who to post when would be an issue. I guess I just want that more realistic feel to championship week.
  5. Will we get periodic posting of scores throughout the day?
  6. I think every corps has had it at least once except Phantom of the Knight.
  7. Well I don't see them until Quarterfinals, so the only way for me to see again before then is for you to get it tonight so I can take it in Memphis.
  8. Thank you. Just make sure you take care of the Sword, I want it in good shape when we get it back
  9. I don't know what happened to VK³ last night. Jet lag, over hyped (for many this was their 1st plane flight ever) but one of 2 things happen, they had a AWFUL show or the judges just didn't care for the show. I'm going to go with the 2nd option and see what a new panel things. But to have a drop in score like that makes we wonder if something eles is going on. The whole Org. arrived safely in New Mexico this morning. Tired and a little ######, we'll see if they come out tonight and fall flat or light the place on fire.
  10. Little late in the season for the PC virus to hit your corps. Hope everyone gets well soon.
  11. Well after being on the left coast this past weekend it is quite the challenge to get corps to the CLASS Championship. VK Too and VK³ flew out of John Wayne airport following the Costa Mesa focus show on the red eye to get into Kentucky Saturday morning. We knew the Championship would start early and need some time to get over the jet lag and some rehersal time in. The 2 corps are rested and ready to go. Glad to see we drew the lasted possible start times for both corps. Will that help? Only time will tell. The Velour Knights had one more west coast show in Tempe, AZ Saturday night and arrived at our KY housing site early Sunday morning. Being of a higher average age, the fly didn't seem to bother the kids at all. Sleeping on a plane verses sleeping on a bus, makes no difference to them. They seemed upbeat and ready go this morning after a small reheral block yesterday afternoon. All 3 corps will be back in the air tonight right after the show heading back to Roswell, New Mexico. Good luck to all corps.
  12. The Velour Knights get a big win in front of the home town crowd last night. With the stands filled with friends, family and alumni, it was a great night for the whole Org. with 2 bronze medals in the lower classes. The topper was when after the final score was announced and our drum major accepted the 1st place trophy, he took and raised The Knights Sword up over his head.......THE CROWD WENT NUTS!!
  13. Just hope you don't start having Knightmares about next season already
  14. We've had The Sword for almost a week now and getting quite comfortable with it. Would really hate to see it go, although seeing it go to another CLASS member will ease the pain......................just a little. I predict it will changes hands more in the next 2½ weeks than it did from the beginning of the season til now. Good luck to all in the push towards finals. Gold Cups for everyone. NOT!!
  15. I guess having the empty display case at the head of the chow line so the kids could see it, every day, 3 times a day, was the motivation they needed to put something in it on the 1st opportunity to get it back. How long we hold on to it may be a different story. We'll see come tomorrow night in Phily, but today we celebrate with a trip to Hershey Cholcolate World and Hershey Park. Can you smell the chocolate? .....uuuummmm
  16. I'm sure Gary will be contacting you about joining a CLASS organization.
  17. When I spoke to John (El Gigante) about this, he had no idea that he was a member of FANFARE. He is currently in-active and not sure if he will return or not.
  18. Throwing out some things that have popped into my head. DCI would have a drill written. 2½-3 minutes of marching done to a programmed Dr. Beat. Given to each corps in January. The "competition" would consist of 50 "spots" so every corps would be marching the same thing (apples to apples). How each corps chose to represent those "spots" would be up to them. Judging would be done by 3 judges, (one up top and 2 field level) on the tick system. Now how this would factor into the overall score.............. don't know. But it would be cool to see corps march the same thing at different achievement levels. **I know this would never work, but it's fun to think about.**
  19. The VK Org. is doing the "Happy Dance" in the parking lot after retreat. VK³ earned a silver medal, VK Too with a bronze medal and to top it all off, after 11 attempts, Velour Knights wins its' first Western Regional gold medal. Who woulda thunk it?
  20. 50% of the class with a min. of 3 (I think) Rounding up so if there are 15 corps, 8 make finals.
  21. Yeah well the collective staffs are having a right now, but I know all too well how these things work out. Glad to get the first and possibly last sweep of the season for the Org.
  22. Thanks for the information gentlemen. On a side note, it looks like a corps will have to medal in order to win the CA Class A title.
