  1. Yeah that one was fun, I hoped all season that we would do a similar hold to the way we held the last note of hte 97 company front, the 33 second fist-fight with the crowd, ah well, it was still kick ###
  2. Well, 1999 Madison had the company front out of the drum solo in Trial/Crucifixion which was crazy, we also marced one at the end of Everything's Alright just before King Herod's Song. I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but I have always really enjoyed the company front in the Cavaliers 1991 show.
  3. There are a lot of drum corps personalities that find their way to Kitty O'Sheas on Thursday evening
  4. Fleur De lis-too bad we haven't seen it much lately
  5. Scouts 97-drum major taking pics and all that, well, it had been done in 1980, and in 1997 it saw the light of day during our final run throuhg of the season, it was never rehearsed, just thrown in, and am I glad it was.
  6. That story is absolutely beautiful. Now I see why the love is there, thanks for sharing the memories.
  7. I noticed in someone's signature that they have a picture of Spirit with a Cross in their retreat block, and a picture of Crossmen with members forming the Spirit delta. I know there is a very fond and mutual respect for eachother, I am just wondering when/how this came about. I apologize if this is an old question.
  8. I dug marching the drill of Mike Leofolhoelz, although I probably spelled his name wrong, sorry Mike.
  9. Here's mine 1. Phantom Regiment 2. Madison Scouts 3. Cavaliers-Sorry I want my Midwest threesome and this is how i'd like to see it. 4. Blue Devils 5. Cadets 6. SCV 7. Bluecoats 8. Crown 9. Crossmen 10. Blue Knights 11. Spirit 12. Colts This is very far-fethced but whatever, it makes me happy to think that in my world this is how things will turn out
  10. Well...people keep posting things like this because thats how they feel. If other people do it for other corps, its how they feel. I dig that people do these things By the way, SCV is and will always be almost my favorite corps, but I have to say that I love the corps I marched with more than any other, can't help it, lol
  11. This shocks me that it's not an official annoucement, are we sure this is accurate? Not being a jerk, just curious
  12. Personally, I couldn't stand the 2005 show. Musically, yes it was pretty cool, but the visual-especially the "school girls" sorry it may have been "innovative" but then again, I felt like I had seen this type of thing before. Ah well, I am sure mine opinion sucks to most.
  13. I would have to fully agree about never particularly being into the cavies hornline, well, i like up until about 1995 a lot
  14. The corpsreps description is what I put down-I am wondering what the other piece is or is it one of Mr. Downeys originals
  15. I was just wondering if anyone knew where the source music came from for the last segment of the Blue Devil's 2001 show-the ballad at the beginning of that segment. I have Awayday and Fantasy Variations, but that segment of show music is not in either of those pieces. Could someone please help me out, because it is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks!
  16. Yeah, im looking for actual music, I know how to do "cluster" chords or whatever everyone calls them, im talking about a track on one of hte BD cd's that is titled "space music/benediction"
  17. Just wondering if it is at all possible to get sheet music or something for the space music/benediction that BD plays, I am doubting that it is possible, but it would be nice
  18. 1. Phantom Regiment 1993 2. Cadets 1987 3. Blue Devils 1992 4. Madison Scouts 1981 5. Santa Clara Vanguard 1991 6. Star of Indiana 1985 7. Cavaliers 1991
  19. Channel One Suite-Blue Devils 1986 Malaguena-Scouts 1980 Strawberry Soup-1993 Madison Rondo A la Turk-BD 2003 That's all i can think of without sitting here for hours checking who played the same charts
  20. I marched with one of their directors in Madison, my thoughts and prayers are with all affected by this tragedy, and my band will be dedicating their performance to all this evening in Sandwich, Illinois
  21. We used to play "Colonel Bogey" in Scouts when I marched, not sure if they still use it.
  22. Ok, I have a degree in music and I am going to have a 2nd degree in about a year and I think that the Glassmen have had many years that they were boring, and it doesn't take a degree in music to understand that. The music is very "high brow" if you will, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring, it's the performance that I believe is in question.
  23. For me as a performer, playing the last note of the 99 show just before I marched for the last time in my life. Watching-Cadets 1995
