  1. Looking forward to seeing AND hearing everyone at camp this weekend! It's been way too long since I've seen some of you, November seems like a lifetime ago.
  2. If you live in the city and/or don't have a car, you can still make it to rehearsal. We are running shuttles between the Aberdeen-Matawan train station - New Jersey Transit and Old Bridge High School. Visit www.bushwackers.org for more information. Look forward to seeing everyone, hearing some good note and having yummy tacos for lunch.
  3. Awwww, thanks Bob. I'd love a CD of the Bulgarian Women's Choir for Christmas. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 16th!
  4. Coffee! That's fantastic! I'll have a cup of coffee in left hand, right hand free for hugs, hand shaking and general hand gestures. I think I'm set then. Can't wait to see everyone!!!
  5. So I hear that donations and reservations are coming in fast. I also am hearing that the entertainment for the night is going to be great! Don't wait too long to make your reservations! friendsofjerome@Bridgemen.com
  6. 2003 definitely my favorite year since being at Bush. That was also the year we premiered the new uniforms. Fantastic year all the way around! Thanks. :)
  7. Yes, they tricky tray will be held at the dinner on the 17th.
  8. Chris, best wishes to you and Fusion! ...see ya around the neighborhood. B)
  9. Awww, thanks Smooth. seeing it's been since last DCA we saw each other, you can't get too sick of seeing me. :) Highlights: hanging with Smoothy and the Govies Bush parking lot run on Friday night at the hotel two visits to Dino bbq (have to look at getting to Sticky Lips next year, if Dan McGrogan is recommending, I think it's a must try B) ) having the BWCG take home another title the after finals runthru next to the truck (wow, that was awesome!) the hotel party
  10. Congrats to the BWCG07! You made this alum rather proud.
  11. Sunday's final run-thru will be in uniform, so everyone can see the final product before we head to Rochester at the end of that week. I'm sure there'll be plenty of pictures taken!
  12. Chicago Vanguard came out to DCA competition 87-92. We never made finals, the closest we ever got was 13th. And in '93 we did mini-corps where we road out in a mini bus. :P Many fond memories of those years, and some great friendships made. Which includes meeting some people in Sound of LI at our hotel party, then later marching with some of them at Bush. :mmm:
  13. So everyone should come out to the Sunday, August 26th rehearsal to check it out live. Come out, bring the family. There's a playground there, tennis courts, so you can keep the young ones busy. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day watching the corps and looking at the awesome view of the city.
  14. Ohhh, and here I thought brass2loud was referring to Del. :P Just to add my $.02 about the show, great stadium! Great fans! Wonderful people working at the show site and the rehearsal site. Hopefully we get to do a show there again next year.
  15. The Pridefest should be a fun addition to the weekend. Also looking forward to getting down to Chambersburg to a great new stadium, seeing some old Bushwacker buddies and hopefully having some yummy nachos! :)
  16. Tom, glad I could be there for your first marching experience. :P - from a former Chicago Vanguard member.
  17. Terri, I'm glad you guys could make it out Sunday ...and thanks for the help! It was a very awesome weekend. Between the bowl-a-thon fun, the bbq and watching the corps get better all weekend, I'd mark it up to a very successful weekend. Can't wait for this weekend, need to get those last few people into uniforms! B)
  18. The BBQ starts at 5pm and ends at 10pm. I don't know the performance time, but it never hurts to come by early to get to the food before the corps breaks. :P Hope to see you there Jim!
  19. I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't seem like the drum corps season until we get outside. :) It was great seeing everyone this weekend, especially the guard, love the work you have already! Also I love the new facility, I don't think we've ever had a grass field as our main rehearsal field. The neighbors continue to be really great and the Franklin mayor really likes the show already, can't wait for him to see the finished product.
  20. Congratulations to you all on your acceptances. I'm sure you'll do fantastic at school because you already have a fantastic work ethic with the Bushwackers. p.s. go Tiffany! I'll visit you when I'm in town. :)
  21. I'm really excited to start seeing this whole show develop, I think it's going to be very entertaining for everyone, fans and performers. a couple weeks ago I was itchin' to go outside, but now with this cold weather, brrrrrrrr, maybe it's best we are in our warm in-door mode for camp next weekend. B)
  22. Alex is a little slow these days, he must be getting older and just plumb forgot to change his signature. Any whooo, yep it's March 10th and 17th we have one day camps and the 11th and 18th are the parades for St Pats. :) I think the timp player needs to make it through the season which includes dca this year and not miss because he's in the hospital... ... or we can build him a bionic foot?? :P
  23. Naw that was in NJ on memorial day. Sayreville or something like that. Cadets were at that parade and performed before us. I always wondered if they were called the Bushwackers??? Just remember your layers for the parades to keep warm! :)
  24. Awesome camp this weekend, great way to break in the new Hall. The music is great, I love it! It was also great seeing a bunch of alums checking out our new home. Don't forget Guard rehearsal is this Sunday, 10-5.
