Name/Corps represented: Knight Org Proposal name: Masters of DCPI Proposal description/purpose:There should be a creation of a Masters event that requires all corps attending to be a previous world champion in their perspective division. This helps reward those corps who have fought hard to win a world title and become part of the elite to go head to head. It would also challenge others even further to achive a world title to become part fo the elite.

Name/Corps represented:CLASS Corps Proposal name: CLASS and Fanfare Finals Proposal description/purpose:this is more of a scheduling item, however going forward CLASS and FANFARE as two major DCPI events would have to be scheduled on a weekend and not on the same day. As the two major competitive bodies of DCPI, CLASS and FANFARE Championship both pull in a large crowd and are very competitve. For the benefit of both organizations and DCPI, the events should be weekend events later in the season and while they could be the same weekend, they can not be the same day. The venue shall be determined by each organization prior to schedules being completed.

Name/Corps represented: The Knight Org Proposal name:Class A GE Caps Proposal description/purpose: This is an old proposal, but deserves another look and was very close last time (disclosure i did change the penalty amount as I feel the previous amount wouldnt really deter a director from breaking the rule). Class A corps may not select any GE captions valued higher than 20 points. Directors that select GE captions valued higher than 20 points will be assessed a 0.5 penalty for each point they are over, for each show they are in violation of this rule. Rationale: This proposal, if passed, would put the focus in Class A on performance, rather than effect and design. It would give Class A directors more flexibility in picking their captions instead of just using the best GE corps and loading up on cheapest possible options for everything else. Puts the proportion of caption points between GE captions and other captions more in line with Open Class corps. Since it would be too difficult to script this change, the penalty would put directors "on their honor" as well as negate any potential advantage gained by going over the limit. Directors who exceed this would be notified via PM/email and instructed to change their captions or face a penalty of .5 for each point in excess of the limit they use.

Name/Corps represented:Buckeye Brass/Buckeye Brass B/Buckeye Brass C HOF Nominee:osufever-Jeff Howard Reason for nomination I would also like to nominate Jeff Howard from Buckeye Brass. Buckeye Brass is the Season 21 World Champion as well as a silver finalist! But they are just as strong in Open and Class A where they have gotten 4 more silvers and a bronze! Since joining DCPI, their corps have consistently been a finalist in all three divisions! Clearly in a short period of time, Jeff has become a master director and deserve a spot on the DCPI Hall of Fame!

Name/Corps represented:Knights of Power/Knights of Sound HOF Nominee:KDGRUSH Reason for nomination As a CLASS corps and a member of the Knight Corps fighting for the Knight Sword, Knights of Power and Knights of Sound are always in the thick of the hunt and a perinial finalist. Knights of Power have a World Title as well as silver while Knights of Sound have won a World title and TWO silver medals! He also has been very active each season in helping take DCPI to the next level off the field as well. Being part of the elite takes more than just scores and I feel he has earned his place in the DCPI Hall of Fame!

not sure anyone is around here much these days--but I am starting a drum corps fantasy football league and inviting DCPI and FMA members to join! ok I have set this up as a private ESPN league called Drum Corps. Currently there are 19 openings (the max 20) and I can adjust downward if we don't get enough players between FMA and DCPI (hope we do). Normally I find an option to send a password but I am not locating it so I am just going to go with invites which will help me manage it better anyway! I set this as a pretty standard ESPN scoring rules so no surprises and I havent set a draft date (draft will be auto draft based on your pre-settings) until we gauge how many people want to play and get them signed up. its also easier for you not THAT into football or with not tons of time. Wow of all my corps NOT to make it I never saw this one coming! Still so proud of my kids for a great season as they are always so solid but just didn't have it in them anymore. Whereas CCR blew me away really pulling it out when it mattered! The Knights as often is the case is right in the hunt and we can't wait to give tonight what we've been holding back! Going to be something special. To all of our CLASS friends especially those coming in Gold and Bronze position in World CLASS, give it all your heart tonight! We have one of the oldest and one of the newest and greatest corps right at the top! To all of our old buddies not in CLASS who made it congrats and good luck! Your going to need it!

knights were thrilled to get the knight sword back and hope to keep it tonight! Based off our fantastic performance of "For Whom My Heart Beats" tonight, we should be in a solid finals position.

Knights of Power looked pretty good down south too!

Knights sure looked good in their other home town of Columbia! Number one! We were also thrilled with two golds and a bronze in eastern regionals for the Knight org! Two regionals go to CLASS!

I agree--i actually LOVE the fact that there is no story and I tend to fall for a good story! However this seems so fresh and the non-story is the story--the theme is so developed yet not there...I love it

ok--Star of Jupiter and I were tied after round 1, we tied at the second show, but I am 4 points behind now in standings?

GE1 is technically still a visual judge anyway as is GE2 a music judge right? They just have the ability to look at more of the whole picture which I think makes sense
