Hey Dave, out of the 4 shows we were only getting paid for of them, and that payment only payed 25% of what that bus was going to cost us. It is real easy to get in that financial hole that most corps can not get out of. Look at Magic as an example. At least Heat Wave does not have any creators knocking at our doors.

Now that Sky has gone inactive and you will never see Heat Wave again I have a question for all of you What have YOU done for your local drum corps lately? Let us think about this. What could (can) you do to help your local Drum Corps. Send a donation? become support staff for a practice or 2? Pick up a horn/drum/guard equipment and get out there on the field? Help with the equipment truck? If we all think about this and we all helped drum corps why would both corps (Heat Wave and Sky) (as well as many other) NOT be able to get out there. I have read that Heat Wave was considered the "Bridgemen" of DCA. The New York Skyliners was a DCA founding corps that have had thousands of member's walk through there doors. I am proud to say that I was a member of both of them. Drum Corps has to have people getting involved. people that can make a commitment evan if it is for 1 rehearsal or just to carry that water bottle . Question here is "What have YOU done for your local drum corps lately?"

I hope your tuba member is ok. Did you say you need a "Tuba" player in Drum Corps?

We will say this after we win open class finals. I always used the saying "He's Coming". Now Heat Wave is on the road to finals.

Not a chance. Have you been reading the topic about fan applause? Do you also realize that if the corps stayed with G they were not a "specially" horn. In the 1980's I could buy a G soprano for the same money as a Bb trumpet.

Well if the "they" are DCI can we not replace them. How about the DCI Corps going to DCA and state that DCI has outlived its usefulness within Drum Corps. How about starting a NEW circut. It is a thought

First things first. I do know why any corps director, or for that matter the BOD of DCI would HIDE there vote. Why do it and cause all of this controversy. Now there are some things I read below that I would like to address Adam do NOT allow anyone to do this to you. You have as much right to have an opinion as anyone else around here. How about asking DCI to state "whom did what". A witch-hunt, what an incredible idea. DCI has been on a witch-hunt for years getting rid of the people that have different values for Drum Corps. Heck DCI at one time had a to 25, now there down to 17. The witch-hunt continues. I agree with a lot of what you say here, however the DCI BOD is a very political bunch. They have had years to learn there political base. Well good for him, how does he earn his living? Does he get paid? DCI has made so many rule changes that it is becoming harder ever year for us to say Wow thats Drum Corps. G to Bb, Amplification I can go on and on here. The question becomes "What is yet to come?"
