  1. I asked this on the BD website but didnt really get much of answer of hardly any replies, but anyway I heard that the BD hornline was putting out a Brass technique video. Anyone know if thats true?
  2. Yes siree, BD has one huge horn line
  3. Im not sure that Cadets would go back to G because I think they sold their G bugles, if thats true, i dont think they'd go and buy a new set just to blow evryone away, they can do it on Bb :)
  4. I like how BD has their hornline set up, kinda sop heavy but i like that.
  5. Although, it has been said that if the top corps still want to be competitive then they will need to switch to Bb to keep doing so. But i dont see Madison having that problem...
  6. I would like to get a new flugelhorm mpc because mine is wearing out, but not sure what quite to buy. Right now i play on a yamaha 12f3d flugel mpc the rim is a little too small/tight for me and would like some thing with a darker sound. I was thinking about the shew flugel mpc as a possiblity because i have the shew jazz motuhpiece and i love that thing. Any suggestons?
  7. Although i have never played mello, i would just suggest you keep your tpt chops up during your time when playing mello so that your tpt isn't such a foreign object when you do go back to playing on it fully. Also a similar mpc. may help as well like if your playing on a 6v for mello, use like a Bach 5SV for tpt or some other V cup mouthpiece made for trumpet. The mouthpiece wont solve your problems though, you'll just need to keep playing on your trumpet to keep expecting to be able to play on it.
  8. I do it when i am a moron, marching around my house.
  9. Yeah a boombox, thats afful. They do deserve better than that.
  10. Is the big sound you talk about a dark one? I am assuming its pretty bright with a a shallow cup and all. and how much do one of those bad boys cost?
  11. I think pretty much all the corps in div 1 who werent on Bb last year. I know the Cascades are still on G. But this is their first year in Div 1 so it really dosent matter what they are playin on.
  12. I have also been temped to try out the MF II as well, because i have heard great things about it. Is the dimentions similar to the MF jet tones?
  13. Any word on these mysterious things yet?
  14. Don't forget a lead dipped bell.
  15. Exactly, pick out a good section of the show or a outstanding part or run,etc instead of how boring or how much longer it is untill BD performs.........
  16. I was at the music store yesterday and I tried one out, i couldn't really tell much more of a difference though. Although with all the extra weight on the mpc you prob would have more of a chance of it flying out of the horn during a hard horn snap.
  17. I have a copy of the Bill Adam routien and that works wonders for me, and covers everything known to the trumpet. Although I have a very special Ingred Jensen version that she gave me when i took a lesson from her you prob. wont find that one in stores.
  18. After watching pr 96 a few times I have concluded that it really wasn't that bad sound quality. Maybe a few spots but nothing major. Maybe you can't hear it very well on the vid.
  19. I have never played one, or seen one for that matter, but I'd love to try one. Anyway I would also like know why they are so raved about too.
  20. I still like all the corps, except like everyone else i'm biased to my faveorite corps (BD in that case) and you just gotta root for them like the home Baseball team. That is all but anyway GO SCOUTS!!!!
  21. probably the people who want to add woodwinds. Anyway Just having some fun.
  22. Yeah no prob. Thanks for the comment. When i posted this i intended it twards tpt players but then realized that in the "brass" forum there is more to just trumpets. As for the choices if i could of posted more I would've. Anyway thanks again. :)
  23. No BD hornline spot in that chart huh?
