Jeff listed that he was in the Centerville Drumline from 99-02, which is the fall season. He actually graduated in 03, which is the first summer he marches drum corps. Depending on your birthdays, it's common to have an extra year than the next guy. he's legit :)

Actually, at Centerville and RX we usually write the front ensemble score first (the 'music'), then stage the visual program, then add the battery parts. Like almost any group, we may change music to enhance a visual concept or change our staging to enhance the musical package. I agree that the Cavaliers have the most comprehensive design process/team that currently exists. Congrats to them on a great season and to all of the fabulous drum corps shows of 2006! Well done. yes, i would say it's worth the money.. i also like the ability to select performers by profile.. for instance.. if your hornline is mixed up in a large block but you want to select all the saxes.. you can type in 'sax' in the select by profile dialog box and it will pick out all of the saxes for you.. i also like the new text tool, where it remembers your favorite text boxes and placements.. there are many more keyboard shortcuts and i haven't gotten quite used to them, but i'm sure once i do, they'll save a lot of time. I still wish that they would let 'accept' be clicked by pressing enter.. oh well, baby steps.. tim

you can, in fact, have some members moving half time while others are moving single time (or double time even) with 3.0 I got the update on Thursday and I've already used the 'pace' tool (the function we're speaking of) three or four times.. works pretty well.. tim

is anyone else having trouble with the synchronization of the audio using version 3.0? It plays fine if you play from the beginning, but if i select one page and hit play, it's not playing what's on that page.. :(

nikk... first of all.. long time, no see! secondly, THANK YOU for figuring this trick out! I've always been frustrated with that problem and I knew that if you selected them and hit the 'push' tool, it would tell you what step size they were moving at, but it wouldn't fix the transition on the animation.. nice job on that, I've used it twice already this morning! tim

One thing that i've also found with the box tool is that even if you get it right, the performers aren't -exactly- on the grid.. so, I usually go to 'snap to' and snap them to the whole step or half step grid and it fixes the problem. I also just got 3.0 and I'm VERY excited about the adjuster tool.. this will be a great time saver.. I also like how many keyboard shortcuts there are now.. tim
