  1. a few corps have them yes. but the key word is few
  2. no clue. I dont think he's on my friends list on Facebook either
  3. well, you've been having medical issues.....you're allowed. plus you have Rudnicki in the other forum
  4. i highly enjoyed SCV's book because of the limitations of the show. In fact i'll sweat their first two percussion breaks were some of the most musical percussion writing in DCI history. I've become so less about the "ram" or quantity of notes, which is why BD in recent years has bored me to tears. Sure I like beef, but I also like to see and hear how it fits the whole package. I'm so over "the lot" because you see people out there playing #### you'll never see them do on the field, and even with top programs you can see they spend more time on that stuff than they do on the field show. if i ran a DCI line, we'd have the most boring warmups in history, because if it wasn't in the show, I wouldn't waste hours working it in the lot just so the youtube fans could watch and drool over it...i'd rather work on what counts, the stuff that will apply to those 11 minutes
  5. the corps I believe will follow what the chosen few at the top do because they have to keep up with the jonses to be competitive. however, if some recent rules passages were overturned, I think more than a few fans would come back
  6. so, you think 17 years later, they'll all pull a Star and go with a Blast like setting eh? interesting
  7. and yes, I can agree. personally the key change doesnt bug me. it meant the activity was still unplugged
  8. which is sad because the Rush song picked, if true, couldn't be any more appropriate. Closer To The Heart is actually the best song Rush could have played
  9. i did research and i thought i had an idea, but I didn't speak up yet because i wasn't sure and didn't want a kewpie. but, no offense, the reply to Liz was out of bounds. I may know PA guys...and not all of em as history has proven....but even if I do, and for the pictures I have submitted, if someone didn't know, I wasn't an ### to them
  10. we had groping. we had deaths. we had a kick ### loud ending that had people standing up before the show was over. and really, we had possibly one of the loudest crowd reactions in DCI history...two if you count retreat
  11. amps were the gateway rule Mike...get one thing passed, add more on in the years to come.
  12. but let me ask you a question Fred... if enough people walk, will they realize they went too far and change things back? will they keep on their merry way anyways? and not only that...if they do change back, will it be too late as people will have had enough and are gone for good?
  13. i want to agree. but bringing in "experts" on how to make things better? wouldn't they want to listen to fans who actually help foot their bills over experts who apparently have no ties to drum corps?
  14. more people read than post. and since, at least for appearances sake with the fiasco that is Lucas Oil, maybe DCI will read and learn
  15. i did read it. and what i saw to me said "opening the door just a little wider"
  16. they could soon be lighting the floors and realizing they should have Rush play the closing ceremonies
  17. maybe we werent involved yet in drum corps when some of these legends were in their hey day. Not to sound like a young punk, but some of us just don't know these folks due to the fact we're younger than many of you. no need to be an ### to Liz about it...she can't help she's in her early 40's
  18. because people do not want to see an activity they love and are willing to pay ever rising prices to see go to hell
