  1. Here is the lineup: Colts - Dubuque, IA Blue Stars - LaCrosse, WI Phantom Regiment - Rockford, IL Blue Knights - Denver, CO Pioneer - Milwaukee, WI Troopers - Casper, WY Colt Cadets - Dubuque, IA So, what do you folks think will happen tonight?
  2. The scores were sent in from the Blue Star's suvie trailer at the show. All that happened is the last two numbers were transposed on a few scores.
  3. This is REALLY biased, but the '79 Blue Stars have my vote.
  4. That picture is from 1980. 1979's design was of an open toilet and 1981's featured Ziggy and his dog (use your imagination!).
  5. That was also the year that Wausau Story changed from grey red and blue cadet-styled uniforms to the lime green front-blue back Spanish style.
  6. God I hope that wasn't me! That happened to me during my very first Drum Corps show with the Wausau Story in 1976. At least the underwear I had on kinda matched the uniform
  7. In 1976, my first year of Drum Corps, the Wausau Story won the class A championship. In both '77 and'78 we placed 24th in open class. Wow, was that really 30 years ago!!??
  8. I remember the US Open. That was a geat show. I think it was in '76 that we were on the starting line without our drum section because of a bus breakdown, and just as we were set to step off, they came sprinting up just in time! It funny I still remember that after all these years!

  10. If it's the same list as the scores list on the DCI site, Pacific Crest is listed twice and Phantom is left off.
  11. 1980 Americanos 1984 Madison Scouts 1999 Jersey Surf 2006 Spirit

  13. Wow, my first post! I remember we also did this back in 1980 when we (the Blue Stars) missed finals for the first time, placing 13th. As we were waiting to go into the stadium to watch finals, North Star marched by us on the way to the starting line. Even though we were EXTREMELY disappointed about not being in the show, we broke into applause for them and shouted encouragement as they passed. I still think back to that event when disappointing things happen and was glad that I was able to learn the hard way about dealing with disappointment in a positive way.
