  1. I hear that Erie would be a good place for the show....how 'bout that?!
  2. a show in Erie you say? I'll go. Can we say "after show kegger" on my deck?????
  3. That is terrible news, I hope your stuff turns up and the people responsible are caught. Similar thing happened to Kiwanis Kavaliers a few years back and they had a poster made up with pictures and serial numbers on it that was distributed to many music stores, pawn shops and band rooms. http://www.kiwaniskavaliers.org/images/KKREWARD.jpg If a PDF was created and made available I (and I'm sure many others on DCP) would gladly print it off and post it around town.
  4. Title says it all. PM if you have anything to offer.
  5. Presque Isle Percussion Ensemble from Erie, PA is in immediate need of a bass drummer for their 2008 season. A family conflict has forced one of our bass drummers out of the ensemble last minute. If you or someone you know is an experienced bass drummer who can jump in ASAP, please visit www.erieindoor.com or contact Director Ed Coleman at ed@erieindoor.com for more information. Presque Isle Percussion is also seeking a synth player, an aux. percussion player, and a few more mallet players if anyone one else is interested in a WGI experience at a low cost. Erie, PA is located in Northwestern Pennsylvania roughly 30 minutes from both the Ohio and New York borders.
  6. So in the effort to be "fresh" "creative" and "innovative" ...well you know where my thought is going.
  7. Everybody knows the answer, including Miked, but he will never admit to it because it would derail everything he is fighting. You would have better luck nailing oatmeal to the wall.
  8. I find this post to be relevant to this conversation too. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php?s=&showtopic=107674&view=findpost&p=2105516 ://http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/foru...&p=2105516
  9. Then are they just a crutch for a weaker pit? I know there are some talented pits out there, but if they can't play their stuff with the proper technique suited for outdoors.....I consider that a weakness. IMO it seems like the current trend is when something is hard or difficult we will just go the easy route and change the rules....rather than working hard and being creative.
  10. Well put! His ego and arrogance are evident just with the oblivious lack of effort he put into writing his proposals. He does not care that a man's intellect can be judged by the manner in which he expresses himself. Q: Why did he not take 10 minutes to proofread? A: Does not care.
