  1. To update tomorrow's schedule, the Class A and Open Class order will be as follows: 11:00 am: Kaiju Corps 11:15 am: Enlightenment 11:30 am: Xothyme 11:45 am: Hg 12:00 pm: Stars of St. Louis 12:15 pm: Mirfield Lockmen 12:45 pm: Star of Hawaii 1:00 pm: The Colonels 1:15 pm: The Marauders 1:30 pm: Spirit of Indy 1:45 pm: Huddersfield Hundred 2:00 pm: Mercury 2:30: World Class corps portion
  2. Texas Zephyrs didn't miss finals- their scores just didn't make it into the score machine, an oversight which is now being corrected. Sorry for the mix-up, but today's been a computer nightmare for me. All sorts of crashes while I tried to get the scores loaded, took me 3 or 4 tries to finally get everything finalized. The rest of the week should go better.
  3. They certainly can! Unfortunately, we do not have a Fan Network (or even a Fantasy Network), so live "viewing" won't be an option. However, I will do my best to post routine updates during Wednesday's prelims. And speaking of which, we have the seedings and performance times for World Class corps ready to go! These seedings were determined based on an average of 3 scores for each corps from the Bowling Green and Atlanta regionals and the last day of the regular season. In a few instances, a few different selections were included in the data to give all corps a 3-show sampling, and this did not significantly affect the results. World Class prelims will begin at 11 am with the top 6 placing corps from Class A, followed by the top 6 placing corps from Open Class. After a short break, we'll get into the World Class portion, with Hawk's Eye stepping off at 2:30 pm and Polaris Regiment finishing off the night at 11:14, making for a total of 41 corps vying for 21 spots in Friday's semi-finals. The complete times for all corps are listed below: As a reminder, the cutoff for any caption changes to be submitted is 11:59:59 PM CST (23:59:59 Mil.Time) for all World Class events, due to the early start time.
  4. Yes, you're right. Prelims scores have been posted. Advancing to tonight's finals are the following corps: Open Class 1: The Colonels 2: Mercury 3: The Marauders 4: Les Blanc Chevaliers 5: Star of Hawaii 6: Huddersfield Hundred 7: Abracadabra Academy 8: Buckeye Brass B 9: Spirit of Indy 10: Northern Lights 11: Euphony Vanguard 12: Texas Zepyhrs Class A 1: Mirfield Lockmen 2: Crusade 3: Confederate Regiment Easy Company 4: Xothyme 5: Kaiju Corps 6: Buckeye Brass C 7: Stars of St. Louis 8: Enlightenment 9: Cape Cod Regiment 10: Hg 11: Mackinac Island Crusaders 12: Pandemonium NZ Open Class and Class A directors will be able to make up to 2 caption changes for tonight's finals round (World class directors can still make changes as usual).
  5. The regular season came to an end tonight, and if the outcome of tonight's events are any indication, we're in for an amazing finals week this year! At Laidley Field in Charleston WV, Buckeye Brass had a strong win over Dewsbury Regulars to set themselves as the high scoring corps heading into finals week. The Colonels kept up their momentum with a win over Texas Zephyrs in Open Class, and Buckeye Brass C found their way to a narrow victory over Enlightenment in Class A competition. At the renovated Dobyns-Bennett HS stadium in Kingsport TN (which has been transformed into an absolutely stunning venue in the last year), Polaris Regiment and The Marauders scored wins in their respective divisions, but Mirfield Lockmen took Class A to spoil a final Forward Dynamics sweep for the regular season. Polaris and Quiksilver were neck and neck down the home stretch, with the Wisconsin corps' edge in Visual carrying them to victory tonight. Circle City Regiment made one last push for the top, and Euphony Empire proved that they may indeed be a dark horse threat come finals week. Further down, Confederate Regiment fell behind River City Regiment. Hopefully this isn't a case of late-season nerves, as they've been doing pretty well this season and many people have given them a strong chance to make finals. There are no events tomorrow or Wednesday, but we'll be back tomorrow with the seedings for finals week.
  6. Standings after the last event of the regular season. Mercury has clinched the Open Class with a perfect regular season, but the overall title is still up for grabs. World is VERY tight between Star of Jupiter and Polaris Regiment, while Hg maintains a comfortable lead over Xothyme.
  7. We've been behind this weekend, but score reports are now up for both days' events. On Saturday, DCPI rolled into Atlanta in a 3-ring circus of venues for most of the corps in action for the last regular Sweepstakes event of the season. At the Georgia Dome, Polaris Regiment came out on top of last season's champion Ivory Brigade and former champion Quiksilver, while The Thoroughbreds kept up well in 4th place as they try to press their championship bid. The Knights wound up sliding back a few spots after their earlier win but hope to turn things around quickly. Open Class corps were at Lakewood Stadium, a multi-school venue in the Atlanta suburbs. Mercury found their sole undefeated streak in Sweepstakes events ended as they managed a tie with The Colonels, but still maintain a very strong lead in the Sweepstakes standings. Huddersfield Hundred, Star of Hawaii and The Marauders were all jumbled very closely together, meaning that the judges may have a very hard time sorting these corps out come finals week. Credit: MSS Architects Class A corps ventured to Milton HS in the northern Atlanta suburbs, where Mirfield Lockmen triumphed over Hg by the closest of margins (0.005). Xothyme and Cape Cod Regiment were also very close behind, while Crusade, Hoosier Regiment and Euphony Cadets appear to be the last corps on the bubble for finals week. Credit: Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps Sunday was a much different story for several corps. In Huntsville AL, Euphony Empire earned their first victory of the season over Golden Panthers and Great Lakes Sound at Lewis Crews Stadium. Huddersfield Hundred finished over a point ahead of Buckeye Brass B in Open Class Buckeye Brass C won a dominant victory over Easy Company. At BB&T Field in Winston-Salem NC (moved from Charlotte NC), The Knights roared back to the top of the charts after a disappointing outcome in Atlanta. Buckeye Brass and Dewsbury Regiment. The Thoroughbreds remained in contention while River City Regiment looked to challenge the top corps heading into finals week as well. Open Class saw The Colonels repeat their Atlanta win with another win over Les Blanc Chevaliers, and J.R.D.C. moved all the way up to third place. Finally, Stars of St. Louis had a strong win over Cape Cod Regiment, who may be making a final late-season push of their own.
  8. Georgia was on everybody's mind tonight as we had not one but two shows in the Peach State. At Laney HS in Augusta, Buckeye Brass was in top form tonight as they outplayed an impressive Violet Knights, who put up some strong numbers in Visual and GE but were too far behind in the music caption to win the overall show in World Class. In Open Class, J.R.D.C. was comfortably ahead of San Antonio Xpress, and Stars of St. Louis rode a dominant performance in music to victory in Class A even though 2nd place Confederate Regiment Easy Company had some sizeable leads in both Visual and GE. Further south, Valdosta's Bazemore-Hyder Stadium, the largest high school venue in the state, needed every inch of space to contain a full field of corps and a near full-capacity audience. The Knights posted their first victory in several events and may be starting to peak at just the right time as they were over a full point ahead of the rest of the field, led by Circle City Sound and The Royal Crusaders. Things were quite close in Open Class as Spirit of Indy finished only a couple tenths ahead of Texas Zephyrs and Abracadabra Academy, while White Chords won an easy victory in Class A over Euphony Cadets, their only competition tonight. 9. The southern swing continues, as The Thoroughbreds gallop back into the lead at Enterprise HS in southeastern Alabama, The Colonels ran roughshod over Confederate Regiment Cadets and Mirfield Lockmen prevented the Bluegrass group from a clean sweep with their win over Enlightenment. Credit: Alabama Media Group Corps in Columbia SC were split up this evening. World Class corps marched through Dawson Stadium in nearby Orangeburg, where Quiksilver and Buckeye Brass tied and Star of Jupiter, Violet Knights and River City Regiment were very close behind. Irmo HS was the site for the Open Class and Class A events, where Mercury polished off Buckeye Brass B and Huddersfield Hundred and Hg held off a determined Buckeye Brass C.
  10. Last night saw the established contender corps make their return back to the top of the standings, with a few notable surprises thrown in. The Charlotte area saw a Forward Dynamics sweep, as Polaris Regiment, The Marauders and Xothyme all dominated the turf at Rock Hill's District 3 Stadium. Quiksilver kept things close in World Class and Pride of Salem made a good jump up to 3rd place. The Birmingham AL event was contested at two venues due to the number of corps entered. Dewsbury Regulars kept their lead at Spain Park HS in Hoover AL while Euphony Empire continued their recent surge up the scorecharts to move themselves into sudden contention, something very few people would have predicted based on their late start to the season. Alpine Scouts also made a good recovery after some recent low-scoring shows to finish in fourth, right behind Euphony. Open Class and Class A corps were closer to the city, competing at Vestavia Hills HS in Birmingham. Here, Euphony Vanguard walked away with the win over Abracadabra Academy in Open Class, while Confederate Regiment Easy Company held off Enlightenment in Class A.
  11. Anybody who'd like to chip in for a plane ticket is more than welcome to.
  12. Many of the top contenders were back in action tonight, but in many cases they found themselves facing some unpleasant surprises. At Cape Fear HS in Fayetteville NC, River City Regiment followed up on the momentum from their win on Monday to post a strong upset over Buckeye Brass. A point behind, The Royal Crusaders and Aftershock NZ were very close to each other. Open Class saw the British Huddersfield Hundred corps record a good victory over Buckeye Brass B, and West Virginia Sound was a surprising third, edging out J.R.D.C. by just 0.01. And in Class A, Kaiju Corps recaptured some of their early-season swagger with a win over Mountain Magic. Credit: Cape Fear Athletics At Tupelo HS in Tupelo MS, Dewsbury Regulars led the way in a very close 3-way matchup between The Thoroughbreds and Star of Jupiter, with Ivory Brigade just holding back Euphony Empire. In Open Class, it was Abracadabra Academy posting their first win in a while, squeaking past Star of Hawaii, while Valley Vanguard finished a disappointing fifth, a surprising showing for a corps that looked to be in contention earlier in the season. Finally, Cross's GE and Visual scores were enough to secure a win over Stars of St. Louis. Credit: Trent Hammond
  13. Apologies for the delay in scores from Monday, as I was pretty sick with a nasty stomach bug, but scores from Monday are now up and I'm recovering. The south was the focus of Monday's events with two events in the southeastern portion of the country. While many of the top contenders took the day off, corps aiming to break into finals had the stage to themselves. In Knoxville TN, Circle City Sound staged a nice comeback at Farragut HS to hearken back to their strong run early in the season, while Panther Prime and Pride of Salem both broke 90 (and tied in the process). Open Class saw Hoosier Regiment take the win over The Colonels, while Florida Sound and North Stars waged a very entertaining contest, with North Stars rising above the Florida corps with their higher GE and visual scores. In Class A, Enlightenment led the way over Mirfield Lockmen, while Crusade and Mountain Magic were very close together further down the score table. Credit: Stephen DeFur At Maumelle HS in Little Rock AR, Dewsbury Regulars made it back to the winner's circle with a .4 point win over Euphony Empire, who look like they're really starting to gel now. In Open Class, Confederate Regiment Cadets took the win over J.R.D.C. while Euphony Vanguard and Northern Lights were extremely close. Finally, in Class A, Confederate Regiment Easy Co. was solid in their win over Euphony Cadets and Golden Panther. Credit: Maumelle Hornets
  14. This is something that's been a bit of an issue for us for a while now based on the way the timer counts changes (which is something I have no control over). If you change captions in the middle of the week for instance, you're going to have to wait for a whole week to make more changes and possibly won't be able to take advantage of the extra point right away. Even when we do the caption point reset day when directors can make unlimited caption changes, the timer still counts your changes when the limits come back in. A simple solution could be for a director to make a rules proposal to change how often per week captions can be changed (possibly 2 a week).
  15. Southern Kentucky was awash with corps last night, as more than 50 groups took the field for the CLASS Championships. The number of entrants was so large that the event had to be contested at 3 different venues. World Class corps took the field at WKU Stadium in Bowling Green, and when the dust settled, it was Fanfare member Quiksilver who took the top prize, becoming one of just 4 corps at this event to top the 91 point barrier along with Polaris Regiment, Buckeye Brass and The Thoroughbreds. River City Regiment also made a very impressive showing as they crept up on the heels of the top 7 corps. In Open Class, Mercury was the class of the field yet again at Roy Stewart Stadium in Murray KY, winning their 10th sweepstakes event of the year, which has to be a new record for that award. 3rd-6th place was extremely tight, as The Colonels, Star of Hawaii, The Marauders and Abracadabra Academy were within two tenths of each other. J.R.D.C. also made an impressive showing for the Acronym group, topping half of the field with a 8th place finish. Credit: Richmond Register In Class A, it was a very tight 3-corps contest at the top of the charts at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville KY, but it was Hg who marched circles around Xothyme and Cape Cod Regiment to secure not only a sweep of the CLASS championships for Fanfare, but also for the same organization. I believe that this may be the first time that a single organization has swept all 3 divisions at either of the major Group Championships. Mirfield Lockmen showed that they have the music and visual chops to contend, as they placed ahead of a few corps in those categories who finished above them, but lagged a bit behind in the GE department. Western Wind and Hoosier Regiment also had a very close contest between them as they were just 0.025 points away from each other. Credit: JKS Architecture While most of the action may have been further north, Baylor University Stadium in Waco TX was also the sight of some good competition, as Violet Knights notched another win in their belt and kept themselves in contention. E.C.D.C. also moved ahead of Confederate Regiment into second place as they continue to pick off corps slowly but surely. Buckeye Brass B and C secured the top spots in Open Class and Class A, respectively. Also, the final caption point has been given to all directors, so be sure to max out your captions!
  16. Last night was indeed a good night for many corps. Violet Knights certainly proved that they are deserving to be considered among the contenders, as they posted a score of 90 again at New Caney HS in Houston TX, a new venue that we decided to go with this season due to the slightly smaller lineup for this event. Also in World Class, E.C.D.C. edged very close to Confederate Regiment, but couldn't quite move past CR, who were stronger in the visual department. In Open Class, home-state Texas Zephyrs notched another win to delight their local fans, while Euphony Vanguard and San Antonio Xpress wound up very close to each other despite their caption scores being radically different. In Class A, Euphony Cadets almost earned a win for their organization, but Easy Company was just a hair better in GE and Visual to earn a 0.015 point victory. Up in Lexington KY, we had a championship preview event, with all 3 classes of corps competing at 3 local high schools in the city. Dunbar HS, Tates Creek HS and Lafayette HS all welcomed corps to their turf. Polaris Regiment walked away with top honors in World Class, finishing 2 tenths ahead of The Knights. Quiksilver and Ivory Brigade were practically at a dead heat, with the Missouri corps gaining the edge this evening. Star of Jupiter found themselves surprisingly low on the scoresheet, almost falling to The Royal Crusaders. Mercury won yet another Open Class event, but have several corps, including Star of Hawaii, Spirit of Indy, The Colonels and an improved Les Blanc Chevaliers, closing rapidly from behind. West Virginia Sound and Valley Vanguard had the closest contest between them this evening, with the WV group coming out on top tonight. In Class A, Cross and Xothyme both had very strong performances, but were no match for Hg, who led the way in all 3 captions. Western Wind was solidly in 4th place but has some work to do to catch up to the leaders.
  17. Down in Fort Worth TX, Violet Knights held sway at the colossal Dragon Stadium, breaking 90 and holding off Dewsbury Regulars by a point. Harmonic narrowly avoided being upset by E.C.D.C. In Open Class, it was Dark Knights B narrowly finishing ahead of home-state Texas Zephyrs by 2 tenths, while Euphony Vanguard squeaked past Abracadabra Academy. Finally, in Class A, Stars of St. Louis returned to their winning ways as they beat Confederate Regiment Easy Company by a point. Back up north, the Cincinnati OH show was held at Virgil Schwarm Stadium, where The Thoroughbreds led the Buckeye Brass down the stretch, while Aftershock NZ and River City Regiment had their own narrow tussle. In Open Class, The Colonels took the top spot over Buckeye Brass B, while Northern Lights and Spartan Vanguard were neck and neck, with Northern Lights' slight advantage in visual giving them the edge. In Class A, Buckeye Brass C may not have had enough to keep up with Mirfield Lockmen or Kaiju Corps, but they did finish ahead of Enlightenment to prevent the Kentucky-based org from pulling off a total sweep of them tonight. However, Crusade nearly moved past them, as they were well ahead of the Ohio group in both Music and Visual tonight.
  18. What a night (and day) it was in Columbus OH! Crew Stadium was the site of not one but two events today, as several corps from all 3 divisions took the field in the afternoon for an exciting round of competition, followed by the nightcap event which saw 5 former DCPI champions in all 3 divisions show why they're among the best of the best in the activity today. The early event saw The Thoroughbreds become the first corps this season to break 90, finishing well ahead of Dune Battalion and Great Lakes Sound in the process. In Open Class, The Colonels captured top honors with a comfortable margin over Valley Vanguard, while in Class A, Mountain Magic prevented the Kentucky organization from pulling off a clean sweep with a win over Enlightenment. The evening's event saw extremely close competition across the board at Wantland Stadium in Oklahoma City OK, as the five world class corps finished within 0.75 points of each other, but in the end it was the Quiksilver group of corps pulling off the clean sweep of all 3 divisions, with Mercury and Hg winning Open Class and Class A, respectively. Star of Jupiter was right on Quiksilver's heels followed by The Knights, who had a solid performance from beginning to end that may mark a turning point in their season. Home state (and home city) Buckeye Brass brought the house down and had the crowd on their feet before their show even began, but had to settle for an extremely narrow fourth place result ahead of Ivory Brigade as the judges didn't seem to be in the mood for hometown lovin' tonight. Open Class saw a tight spread between the top 4 corps, with The Marauders right behind Mercury and Les Blanc Chevaliers making a good move up the charts with a third place finish. Hg had the widest margin of victory, while Cape Cod Regiment, Xothyme and Cross all kept things close. Back down south, Violet Knights became the second corps to post a score of 90, eclipsing The Thoroughbreds' achievement by a bit as they finished ahead of Dewsbury Regulars and Confederate Regiment. Euphony Empire continues to make good strides with their fourth place finish, and Pride of Salem, Alpine Scouts and Harmonic were neck and neck (and neck), as just two tenths separated these three corps. Open Class saw Huddersfield Hundred posting a rather uncontested victory, while Acronym corps J.R.D.C. made a strong move up to second place as they try to position themselves to get their first victory. In Class A, Western Wind led the way, with a close finish over Crusade and Pandemonium NZ.
  19. At Bishop D'Arcy Stadium in Fort Wayne, Polaris Regiment was out to prove that they perhaps should be included in tomorrow night's Masters of DCPI event by crushing two past champions, Ivory Brigade and Star of Jupiter. Circle City Sound and Dark Knights were also very competitive tonight, while Great Lakes Sound, Pride of Salem and River City Regiment were among five corps that placed within 3 tenths of each other further back in World Class. Open Class went to Star of Hawaii, who easily took care of The Colonels and Thunder Cadets, while Mirfield Cadets saw their lead in Class A slip a bit as they beat Cross by only a quarter of a point this evening, which saw both corps break the 80 point mark for the first time this season. In Kansas, we're taking a break from Wichita to travel to Great Bend, located more centrally in the state. It was a small show at Great Bend HS but certainly an entertaining one as Dewsbury Regulars made their way back to the winner's circle, and the unknown Acronym corps E.C.D.C. edged a little higher up the charts, finishing in second place. Alpine Scouts suffered some setbacks in the visual department after last night's win and found themselves narrowly slipping back to third. Open Class saw an exceptionally close finish, as Spirit of Indy triumphed over Abracadabra Academy by just a tenth of a point. Academy were in a tight finish themselves, finishing just a tenth ahead of Huddersfield Hundred. Stars of St. Louis took Class A, but Kaiju Corps and Hoosier Regiment staged the closest contest in this division, with the Indiana corps just beating out Kaiju.
  20. Sweepstakes scores from that event will be posted later this week. Tonight saw a shakeup in the standings at both events. At Grand Haven HS in Grand Haven MI, Euphony Empire rocketed up to the top of the world class standings, coming out ahead of Great Lakes Sound and The Royal Crusaders. They may have gotten off to a late start, but Euphony's members have been hard at work since their first show midway through the season, and it looks like that effort is paying off at last. In Open Class, Northern Lights were one of 4 corps to score above the 82 point barrier, along with Spartan Vanguard, Euphony Vanguard and San Antonio Xpress. In Class A, E.R.D.C. had the field all to themselves, and walked away with a nice result. Further midwest, the Lincoln NE show had to be relocated to Heedum Field in nearby Fremont (where DCI will be this season themselves) due to ongoing renovations taking place at Seacrest Field. The attending corps didn't let the late adjustment faze them, as Alpine Scouts made a nice comeback to win their first event since early in the season. Harmonic and Northern Light were very close to each other, with GE and Music tipping the edge toward Harmonic. In Open Class, Dark Knights B kept things close, but couldn't get ahead of Huddersfield Hundred despite finishing ahead of the Brits in two of the three major caption categories. Huddersfield's win tonight is another example of how important the GE scores can be. Also, the unknown J.R.D.C. corps caught several corps by surprise with a solid third place finish ahead of West Virginia Sound. And in Class A, Western Wind finished ahead of Northern Cadets to take the victory tonight, thanks to their GE and Visual scores.
  21. Camp Randall Stadium was ELECTRIC for tonight's Fanfare championships, which just wrapped up a few minutes ago. Madison has seen some spectacular events in past years, and tonight's certainly deserved to be listed with those events, as the Forward Dynamics corps claimed two of the three divisions this evening. In World Class, it was Polaris Regiment edging season 21 champion Buckeye Brass to claim their third sweepstakes victory. They're definitely showing the consistency needed to contend for a title this year. Scores were close top to bottom, with Circle City Sound and River City Regiment having the tightest margin- just 0.02! In Open Class, it was Mercury adding yet another sweepstakes victory to its belt. They've been strong all year, and while they've been defeated on a few occasions, they've always managed to rebound and have their strongest performances when it matters most. Star of Hawaii and The Marauders kept it close, but it was Mercury's tremendous visual package that paved the way to victory. Buckeye Brass B narrowly missed out on a sweepstakes point, but finished comfortably ahead of Aftershock NZ B. It looks like there may be some separation starting to occur in Open Class. Finally, Xothyme pulled off an extremely close win over Hg, by less than 0.075 points. Both Mirfield Lockmen and Cape Cod Regiment were very close behind. Further back, Stars of St. Louis and Enlightenment continued their season-long battle with each other, with the Missouri corps coming out ahead tonight by just 0.015 points. Class A seems to be more and more competitive the further down the standings you look, as four corps, Euphony Cadets, Northern Cadets, Hoosier Regiment and White Chords were separated by less than 2 tenths!
  22. It was a very exciting time in Minnesota last night! TCF Bank Stadium had more ties than the inside of a closet in World Class, as Aftershock NZ, Dewsbury Regulars and Violet Knights all found themselves atop the standings, marking some impressive comebacks. The Thoroughbreds and Quiksilver were neck and neck, and Star of Jupiter, Polaris Regiment and Buckeye Brass all tied for the final sweepstakes point. With the scores this close, this could be a realistic look at what championship week looks like. With so many corps in attendance, other venues had to be brought into play. Open Class corps competed at East Ridge HS in Woodbury, where Mercury reclaimed the top spot over Star of Hawaii and Texas Zephyrs. Les Blanc Chevaliers found themselves very far down the standings in 12th place, 2 points behind the Columbia-based corps. Class A corps returned to Eden Prairie HS, where Hg narrowly won the day over Xothyme and Cape Cod Regiment. This event also saw the debut of the Acronym corps, ERDC, JRDC and ECDC. This group has been very quiet and mysterious about its plans for this season, so we hope they'll open up and share some information soon.
  23. Seems like a lot of venues have been changing during the last week or so. I saw this morning that the Omaha NE event is moving to a small college in Fremont NE.
  24. I still go to shows because I find them enjoyable and entertaining. I used to be grumpy over amps and electronics (and still am, to a lesser degree), but a couple years ago I had a mental revelation, which is that I can't justifying defining what drum corps is to anybody else, as it takes away the experience they had when they marched, or are having when they march now. Things change- it wasn't "drum corps" when you marched either, so move on.
  25. In St. Peter MN last night, Polaris Regiment made it back on top after a bit of a stumble in their previous show, besting The Thoroughbreds by a point at Gustavus Adolphus University. Northern Light was a big surprise, jumping over The Knights and Dune Battalion as they surged up to 3rd place. In Open Class, Marauders and Huddersfield Hundred started to pull away from the rest of the pack a bit, as both corps finished well ahead of 3rd place The Colonels. In Class A, Mirfield Lockmen narrowly got the better of Xothyme, while Cape Cod Regiment closed the gap on Enlightenment. At Waukee Stadium in Des Moines IA, Golden Panthers emerged as kings of the cornfield and proved that their win in Columbia the night before was no fluke. Dark Knights, Dewsbury Regiment and Harmonic all waged a spirited battle for 2nd, as a quarter of a point was all that separated those three corps. While their big brother was absent tonight, Buckeye Brass B and C both won honors for the Ohio-based group as they won their respective divisions.
