I agree i dare say the narration helps with the visual side of the show if that makes sense...................but because I have only heard the show and not seen the show , I was only going of what I heard if that makes sense

Ok as you can see from the title how controversial is it ??? and should i be loving it as much as i do ?

can i say the Contra bit in Blue Devils , I mean how many shows have had a solo Contra player

I think what was unique about 2005 show was that to me the staff of BD were testing the water in the Use of mics and unfortunteley it didnt pay off also with BD being in Europe it did effect their season

what a great topic my input is :- 1. 1986 (Cadets had dominted DCI for 3 years and this was the show that changed it all) 2. 1976 (the show that changed DCI and drumcorps so many corps followed in suite) 3. 1985 (OK OK BD never won and came 3rd, but the did win high Brass) 4. 1992 (what a show with so many sounds and rythm and the year the colour guard had male members) 5. 1999 (wow what can I say) 6. 2001 ( the show that no one mentions, but that had a serious cool factor) 7. 2003 ( another cool show started with little eric and finished with little eric) 8. 1983 ( the show had passion, BD new they wernt gonna win but to me thay played with passion) 9. 2004 ( How many of us all wished we could play the soprano in the opening number) 10. 2005 (yes yes yes thats right 2005 and the reason "is the audiance ready?" how many all said "Yes?" ) its a strange top 10 but each man to their own i say

I didnt relise how much times had changed in drum corp from my day, I mean after watching the espn broadcast on how the cavies (and the rest of DCI write their drill) I remember standing on a cold wet sports field in february/ march freezing my wing wang off while the corps director had to work out where we were meant to be standing, in todays method at least members have a printed out version of where and how many paces etc they are meat to march making it easier for everyone to understand (I do hope I made sense). So my input is PC Software is the way forward

I will tell you somthing and i have just been on a 10 hr journey in my car and I was listening to Queen and thinkin about Madison Scouts "Bohemian Rhapsody", but and upto date show could be called "A kind of Magic" with music from :- A kind of magic somebody to Love hammer to fall friends will be friends I know its slightly off topic but it had my mind running round and like everyone else on DCP who listens to varios music always imagines their favourite corps playing that music

well that mr Hopkins had heard Blue devils and decided to go back to the drawing board :P

well looking on the apd web page of DCI Mr hopkins didnt allow the 1st show to go on to APD , now what does that say about the show hmmmmmmmmm ???

As my boy said "dad can we watch a Blue Movie??" he brought in Blue devils 2003 what do I say to that ??

Going back to the original comment, to me DrumCorps does not get the media it deserves, I think that the way forward is like several of you have said that if DCI becomes a profit organisation (did I spell that right) then corps can put forward scholarships, DCI trully becomes a international organnisation the list goes on and on, what would be a cool idea is to have a DCI put on a pay per view system on Sky digital allowing the world to see what great jobs the kids do

A conversation cropped up last night about the rule of mics remaining in the pit, if this is the case then cadets broke the rules last year, can anyone tell me if DCI has such a rule ??

I see over in the US the cost of fuel is a major issue at the moment, how easy would it be for corps to travel by train and just the uniform, food and souvie truck just hit the road ??

DCE judges were totally overwhelmed with BD last year,I think it gave BD a false sense of security thats why they ended up coming 4th

BD 81.30 and they havent finished their show yet, are the Devils out for revenge ??
