Thanks for the complements Bawker. We had a great time in W-S. Glad to be home though. Now we just have to unpack all our damp clothes from the suitcase.
Just a little disclaimer:
The ReneGuard performers had a technical difficulty with the CD. It skipped the first 30 seconds of the music. They weren't prepared for that since they didn't do the run-through with the sound system. They will take that same routine to compete at DCA I&E. Good luck girls!
LMS South was excellent in my opinion. I worked the show backstage with a couple of other Renegades guard folks. We got to meet a lot of wonderful people from the other corps. By the end of the night I was talking with a southern drawl. lol.
Thank you Carolina Gold for being such great hosts.
I swear we have never seen or experienced so much rain in the span of 3 days. Of course being from the left coast where our seasons consist of mildness and only about 10 days of rain at most, we weren't really all that prepared. We were warned by Lee to have 'aquatic capabilities' once we got to W-S, it was still not something we were used to.
Once we got to the stadium, the skies seemed to have shut off the valves... for a little while anyway. The turf felt really good for the first 20 yards... and then the water pooled up around the areas we walked around. Lisalisamomeesa said to me 'I'm waitin' for some fish to swim by'.
I felt that our show was incredible. With the crowd response being so amazing in acceptance of us being there, it brought tears to my eyes by the end of the show.
As I write this comfortably at home. Our later flights out of W-S are still there. B) We got off the plane in San Jose to feel no humidity or rain. It's good to be home.
Great trip this weekend. Can't wait to see you guys in Scranton!
