looks like Crown is the new Scapegoat in DCI...at least its not Cadets anymore. JK Their show has pacing problems, but it's very good. The ballad gives us actual melody which is refreshing.

yeah radar looks like storms are kind of stalled out, but expanding.....not moving quickly through the area unfortunately...

And ahead of BD's guard....lol. Very interesting. I have never understood that aspect of guard judging. I guess it has to be bad enough that it diminishes the "effect" being attempted. Well sorry but one drop on a huge toss is obvious and has an effect. I have never gotten a good explanation of judging of that in WGI or DCI. My take has always been that you shouldn't punish the whole corps for one person's mistake. So a player messing up on a solo, or a drum or horn member falling would not affect the score that is given. Doesn't make sense to me. You are going out to perform and be judged if you make a mistake it should count against you.

Hoping last night does not represent another stall out like last year. Numbers seemed weird last night. And Boston got a huge bump. Did they add something?

Yeah, not a fan of the current DCI site.....has the feel of a free site you or I could get....

I agree Terri, of course I am a little biased. Now the organization has to figure out how to move forward, maybe some old staff will come back guess that is wishful thinking on my part probably. I just want to see them build back toward the top, not stay in the middle. Sorry for double post....internet.

Feet already looked a lot better on pericscope....yeah show GE needs work IMHO.

Agreed has the 97-98 feel. Love those ballads.

True that.....and to be fair Crown is another example of props not being utilized. Then you watch Bluecoats, SCV, and Bloo you see how much they integrate the props, move them, vary them and watching static props stay in one place for the entire show is a let down.

I am basing mine on a fairly good high cam view from a spectator at the Akron show. Like they have stated there is just a lack of complexity that used to be the Cadets hallmark. I think they have done a good job all things considered. I just expected the props to be utilized more and in different ways.

Yeah, its kind of a lets just stabilize the program show......to me. I just wish the props were more integrated and used to create effect. They have potential, but they need to be moved around, integrated, changed during the show i.e. SCV...

Really impressed with the choreography for the brass, but must ask, anyone know why so much running around with one arm out? So much other body is really effective, but not getting that...

I liked BD and don't think it is a complete recycle of last year at all. They always have certain features and moments that are rehashed. They always do. Some years I see them once and say to myself, yep they win (2012, 2014, 2015). Don't have that feeling this year, but to be fair didn't last year at this time either.

I think BD, SCV, Bloo, or Crown could win this year honestly......depending on how things evolve.

SCV......hmmmm I feel very old after watching that show.

I was expecting the props to be more integrated and moved around. They have so much potential but they just sit in the same place the entire time. I also think they need to find a way to convey disorder to unity. There are ways they can do it, but it doesn't come across to me. Those are design issues... Member were amazing!! Brass so much better.

I just really like Academy's design sensibility. Accessible yet sophisticated.

Yes nightmares of 2015 are going through my head as we type...
