  1. haha I think that was me who suggested it! ignore the PM i sent ya.. kudos on the animated file! kinda nice to see my photos in motion haha...
  2. I see the corps jacket as a piece of history - a memorabilia of when you marched - of course you are showing off - you are showing off where you marched - and obviously you had a great time other wise you probably won't be wearing the jacket. I do not see ANY reason why a person should not where their jacket anymore - there is no valid reason - and if you want to get rid of your jacket for whatever reason - I think and this is just my own opinion - is you should pass it on to another corps kid who may treasure this piece of history. I know I would... then again I'm a drum corps junkie... just my humble opinion...
  3. Hey don't loose hope just yet - the season ain't over - and SCV is known for very last minute surprises right?... so who knows... maybe they'll have it :)
  4. das is good! hm animated gif eh?... when I get home ... maybe?
  5. ah - as for my lens... well its just your basic Canon EF 75-300mm telephoto zoom - no image stabilizer was only like 200 bucks give or take at Best Buy... So shooting that high up had some disadvantages - some of my photos came out blurry when I zoomed in all the way - a lot of it has to do with being able to have a steady hand when shooting... one of these days I'll get myself a better telephoto and maybe a wide angle... man this hobby is expensive.. :-p
  6. Press box view can be awesome - however I kinda miss being in the stands - it's cool to see everything but I sorta missed the "blast my face off" feeling - also its hard to see whats goin on in the pit from up top... oh well.. as for going to finals - unfortunately that will not happen this year.
  7. Ya I am the master of multi tasking :) glad you enjoyed them

  12. not to many people in Milpitas CA (yea where??) I'm sure Dublin and Concord were jam packed though... I agree they COULD have shown a little bit more of KAC like one of the drum solos... but what was shown was great... Kinda weird seeing yourself on a big screen

  16. MAN .. where the heck do I begin?!?!?!?!?!?!??! I never did junior corps (parentals were not very supportive in that sense) Yea I could've joined Renegades... But... I wanted to do something big... So I was told about the Kingsmen Alumni Corps roughly a year or two ago... At the time they didn't have a pit so I just brushed it off... But then in July 2006 my Uncle told me that they're gonna have a pit... I jumped at that opportunity, signed up for the forum, and went down for my first camp last August ... I haven't looked back since... There's been ups and downs and I almost quit but I stuck it out... I came into this group wanting to learn more about drum corps, wanting to hear the stories... I wanted to meet legends... I came out of this group with all that and more... Forming friendships that will last a life time... Performing at the Rose Bowl in front of geez what was it 40+ thousand.. give or take... Being apart of something special with memories that are with me forever... My life has forever changed because of this group... I'll end this here for the sake of turning this into a novel.. that and I'm tearing up right now just thinking about all the good times I had... Thanks KAC
  17. hard to believe this is over... being a rookie.. this has been a blast and then some... the view down in the pit was amazing... especially seeing Phantom Regiment hype over Firebird :)
