1982-2001 there were 3 furlanos that were drum majors Brad 1982-1993 Bruce 1994- 1997 Brandon 1998-2001 those are just the years they were drum major!!

just because a corps claps on for another corps or says have a good show or good job does not mean that corps is not mlitary bering man most finales when most corps are kneeling or put there horns on the ground usually Blue Stars are still at high or low parade rest not talking or moving at all ... when I marched other corps would comment on how hard corps we would be in retreat t minus 14 hours untill i leave for mad town go blue stars !!!

blue stars currently have a youth band I do not know how many are moving up per year But .. when I was marching the div 2/3 years we would get anywhere from 1-5 kids almost every year :)

i think that was mostly done by drummers in early 90's but I think some people might of done it to take the mind off of laughing and some of the comments other corps would make so they would not break

Buckle smashes - hehehe Its funny Blue Stars did them also and in 94 when we got2nd at dci finals one of the mello players collapsed the biggest part of his tubbing on his buckle after playing the corps song and going to parade rest before leaving finale ...

hmm.. how times have changed in the 90's by the end of the season we would be killing people in visual with white bucks white stripes and all ... but I have not seen Blue stars since indy ... I really like it it is accessiable.. but yes the drill in my mind last time I saw it was safe but on the same aspect they are extereamly young corps and they probally made the drill so it would be in the members grasp and the members might of steped up and surpased the drill by now who knows FCO !!
